David Kang
David Kang (born 1970) is an Australian barrister. In 1994, he fired two blank shots from a starting pistol at Charles, Prince of Wales (now King Charles III) in protest of the treatment of several hundred Cambodian asylum seekers held in detention camps in Australia. Early life and education David Kang was born in Australia to Robert Kang, a former Republic of Korea Air Force helicopter pilot. At the time of the starting pistol incident, in 1994, Kang was an anthropology student at Macquarie University. Kang later graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in anthropology from the university. Henry James O'Farrell (183321 April 1868) was the first person to attempt a political assassination in Australia. On 12 March 1868, he shot and wounded Prince Alfred, Duke of Edinburgh, the second son and fourth child of Queen Victoria. Francesco Ernest Sartor (born 9 November 1951) is an Australian former politician who served as New South Wales Minister for Climate Change and the Environment and Minister Assisting the Minister for Health (Cancer) between 2009 and 2011. John Joseph Fahey AC (10 January 194512 September 2020) was an Australian politician who served as Premier of New South Wales from 1992 to 1995 and as the federal Minister for Finance from 1996 to 2001. He was a member of the New South Wales Legislative Assembly from 1984 to 1996 and the federal House of Representatives from 1996 to 2001.
