David Hruška (born January 8, 1977) is a Czech professional ice hockey right winger for HC Stadion Cheb of the Czech 2.liga. He was selected by the Ottawa Senators in the 6th round (131st overall) of the 1995 NHL Entry Draft. Hruška played 857 games in Czech Extraliga with VHK Vsetín, HC Slezan Opava, HC Karlovy Vary, HC Havířov Panthers, HC Litvínov, HC Slavia Praha and Piráti Chomutov Piráti Chomutov is a Czech ice hockey team from Chomutov, Czech Republic. Red Deer Rebels
The Red Deer Rebels are a Canadian major junior ice hockey team based in Red Deer, Alberta. The Rebels are members of the Western Hockey League and play home games at the Marchant Crane Centrium. The Rebels won the President's Cup and the Memorial Cup during the 2000–01 season. History In 1991, coach Terry Simpson and his brother were granted an expansion franchise, and they wanted in Red Deer. From a name-the-team contest, the top three ideas were Rebels, Renegades, and Centurions. The Rebels selected Mike McBain as their first player in the Bantam Draft. The Rebels' first game was on September 25, 1992, in Red Deer against the Prince Albert Raiders; the Rebels won 6–3. In 1999, the Simpsons sold the team to Brent Sutter. The 1995–96 WHL season was the 30th season of the Western Hockey League (WHL), featuring seventeen teams and a 72-game regular season. The Brandon Wheat Kings won the franchise's fourth Scotty Munro Memorial Trophy for posting the best regular season record, and followed this up in the playoffs by securing their second President's Cup as league champions, their first since 1978–79. The Calgary Hitmen joined the WHL as its seventeenth franchise, and the first to be located in Calgary since the Calgary Wranglers in 1987. 1st Czech Republic Hockey League
The Maxa liga is the second-highest level of professional ice hockey in the Czech Republic, after the Czech Extraliga, Extraliga. It began in 1993 and is run and administered by Czech Ice Hockey Association. Until 2015, the league was known as the 1st Czech National Hockey League. It was then known as the WSM Liga until 2018, and the Chance Liga until 2024. Format (2023-24) In the first phase, every team plays each other four times—twice at home and twice away—which makes for a 52-game regular season. After the 52-game regular season, the first six teams directly qualify for the quarter-finals, while teams which placed 7 to 10 play a round-robin tournament, round-robin to determine the final two participants in the quarter-finals.
