David Fernández is a table tennis player from Puerto Rico, champion in the singles event of the Table tennis at the 2002 Central American and Caribbean Games, 2002 Central American and Caribbean Games, silver medallist in mixed doubles, playing with Glenda Reyes and bronze in team competition alongside Juan Revelles, Santiago Coste and Abner Colón. David Fernández Borbalán
David Fernández Borbalán (born 30 May 1973) is a retired Spanish football referee. His first match officiating in La Liga was on 12 September 2004, between Levante UD and Racing de Santander. Borbalán also refereed a key match in Synot liga season 2014–15 between AC Sparta Prague and FC Viktoria Plzeň on 9 May 2015. He was chosen, upon validation from FIFA, to referee the 2018 Greek Cup Final between AEK and PAOK at the Olympic Stadium in Athens, amidst concerns over supporter riots and violence during the game and despite protests by Greek football chairmen and refereeing bodies over the appointment of non-Greek officials. David Fernández Cortázar (born 6 April 1985) is a Spanish former professional footballer who played as a central defender. Club career Fernández was born in Madrid. He achieved Segunda División figures of 299 games and five goals, representing CD Guadalajara (one season), Real Oviedo (two) and AD Alcorcón (five). In the 2014–15 campaign, Fernández and Oviedo were crowned Segunda División B champions. On 31 May 2015, he scored the only goal in the play-off finals away against Cádiz CF, with the club earning promotion to the professional leagues 12 years later. Fernández retired in June 2023 aged 38, after one year in the Primera Federación with UD Logroñés. David Fernández Tercero (born 25 March 1973 in San José) is a retired Costa Rican judoka, who competed in the men's extra lightweight category. Fernandez represented Costa Rica at the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens, where he was appointed as the nation's flag bearer by the National Olympic Committee () in the opening ceremony. He was invited to compete in the men's extra lightweight class (60 kg) through a wild card entry from the International Judo Federation. Aeroperú Flight 603 (PL603/PLI603) was a scheduled passenger flight from Miami International Airport in Miami, Florida, to Arturo Merino Benítez International Airport in Santiago, Chile, with stopovers in Quito, Ecuador, and Lima, Peru. On October 2, 1996, the Boeing 757-23A aircraft flying the final leg of the flight crashed into the Pacific Ocean. There were no survivors among 70 people on board. Flying over water, at night, with no visual references, the pilots were unaware of their true altitude, and struggled to control and navigate the aircraft.
