__NOTOC__ Davenport is a locality in the Northern Territory of Australia located about south of the territory capital of Darwin central business district, Darwin. History The locality's boundaries and name were gazetted on 4 April 2007. Its name is derived from the mountain range which was named in 1860 by John McDouall Stuart as the Iytwelepenty / Davenport Range National Park, Davenport Range after Samuel Davenport (Australian politician), Samuel Davenport, a South Australian politician. Davenport includes the following places that have been listed on the Northern Territory Heritage Register – the Barrow Creek Hotel, the Barrow Creek Telegraph Station and the Neutral Junction Homestead (Old). The Division of Lingiari () is an Divisions of the Australian House of Representatives, Australian electoral division in the Northern Territory that covers the entirety of the territory outside of the Division of Solomon, which covers Darwin, Northern Territory, Darwin and surrounding areas. The division also includes the territories of Christmas Island and the Cocos (Keeling) Islands. 2021 Australian Census
The 2021 Australian census, simply called the 2021 Census, was the eighteenth national Census of Population and Housing in Australia. The 2021 Census took place on 10 August 2021, and was conducted by the Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS). It had a response rate of 96.1%, up from the 95.1% at the 2016 census. The total population of the Commonwealth of Australia was counted as 25,422,788, an increase of 8.6 per cent or 2,020,896 people over the previous 2016 census. Results from the 2021 census were released to the public on 28 June 2022 from the Australian Bureau of Statistics website. Epenarra Station
Pine Hill Station is a pastoral lease that operates as a cattle station on the lower Barkly Tableland in the Northern Territory of Australia. Location It is located along the Frew River about north of Alice Springs and about east off the Stuart Highway. History In 2019, the property was acquired by David and Suzanne Bassingthwaighte from Queensland from Filipino banker and property developer Romeo Roxas, who sold Pine Hill Station at around the same time. The property was stocked with approximately 7,400 head of droughtmaster-cross cattle and had been listed at 16 million. The property is divided into eight paddocks with five sets of outstation yards; it also has thirteen bores along with of river frontage and seasonal lagoons. Barrow Creek Telegraph Station
Barrow Creek Telegraph Station was one of 12 repeater stations for the Australian Overland Telegraph Line and it sat between the Alice Springs Telegraph Station and Tennant Creek Telegraph Station. It now sits within the Barrow Creek Telegraph Station Historical Reserve and was listed on the Northern Territory Heritage Register on 7 June 2002. It was previously registered on the Register of the National Estate on 26 April 1988. In 2005 money was set aside by the Northern Territory Government to perform maintenance work on the stone buildings that remain there. The traditional owners of this site are the Kaytetye people.
