Darko Balaban
Darko Balaban ( sr-cyr, Дарко Балабан; born 22 September 1989) is a Serbian professional basketball player. Professional career Balaban grew up with KK Sport Key from Novi Sad where he played from 2003 to 2007 when he goes to Partizan. In 2010 he goes to Crvena zvezda where he stayed one season. For the 2011–12 season he signed with KK Smederevo where he had great season and was named the MVP of the Basketball League of Serbia. In March 2012 he signed with BKK Radnički for Serbian Super League but played only nine games and then left the team. Following season he started with Târgu Mureş, but left them in December 2012. In October 2013, he signed with Vršac. He left them after only two games and signed with Feni Industries. In February 2014, he returned to Serbia and signed with his former team Smederevo. The center (C), or the centre, also known as the five, the big or the pivot, is one of the five Basketball position, positions in a regulation basketball game. The Basketball League of Serbia (), commonly abbreviated as KLS, is a Serbian basketball league system, top-tier men's professional basketball Sports league, league in Serbia. Founded in 2006. It is currently not run by the Basketball Federation of Serbia (KSS). The 2013 Summer Universiade, officially known as the XXVII Summer Universiade (; ), was held in the city of Kazan, Russia, the most northerly city ever to host a Summer Universiade. Over 10,400 university athletes from 162 countries participated in 13 mandatory and 14 optional sports, making the 2013 Universiade the biggest ever in the history of the event. The basketball tournament at the 2013 Mediterranean Games in Mersin took place between 18 June and 25 June. The men's tournament was held at the Servet Tazegül Arena. A women's tournament was also planned, but was cancelled because too few teams applied. Participating nations The following nations applied to compete in the men's tournament. Albania and Greece declared the withdrawal of their teams from the Games on May 10, 2013. Algeria will be participating in place of Albania.
