Darie Magheru
Darie Magheru (pen name of Aurel Zaharia Moldovan or Moldoveanu; October 25, 1923–October 25, 1983) was a Romanian poet and theatre actor. Born in Lunca Câlnicului, Brașov County, his parents were the clerk Simion Moldovan and his wife Valeria (''née'' Nicolescu). From 1930 to 1934, he attended primary school in Turcheș, followed by Ioan Meșotă National College, Ioan Meșotă High School in Brașov, graduating in 1943. In 1950, early in the Communist Romania, communist period, he completed studies at the George Enescu National University of Arts, Iași Dramatic Conservatory. He was then arrested in connection with alleged membership in ''Sumanele Negre'', part of the Romanian anti-communist resistance movement, spending a year and a half in prison. Iurie Darie
Iurie Darie (; 14 March 1929 – 9 November 2012) was a Romanian actor. Biography He was born in Vadul-Rașcov, Soroca County, Kingdom of Romania. He studied at the Academy of Theatrical Arts and Cinematography in Bucharest, graduating in 1952. He made his film debut in 1953, playing Miron in '' The Bugler's Grandsons''. In 2002, Darie received the National Order of Faithful Service with the rank of Knight for his prestigious artistic career. During his last years Darie suffered from several health problems, including respiratory and cardiac insufficiency and also a stroke. He died on 9 November 2012, aged 83, in Bucharest, surrounded by his family. He was buried in the city's Sfânta Vineri Cemetery. Vladimir Darie (born 7 August 1952) is a Moldovan historian, journalist, and politician, who was deputy in the Parliament of the Republic of Moldova between 1990-1994. Since November 2009 he has been general manager of the Moldpres press agency. Biography He served as member of the Parliament of Moldova, previously he was mayor of Orhei (1990-1991), adviser of Mircea Snegur (1991-1993), director of the television station "Catalan" (1998-2001) and mayor of Suruceni (2003-2007). He has been the director of Moldpres since November 2009, replacing Valeriu Reniţă. He graduated from the State University of Moldova, Faculty of History (1969-1974), after which in 1974-1985 he was the director of the "Sergei Lazo" Museum, and in 1985-1987 he was the Chief of Orhei District Culture Department. Alexandru Darie
Alexandru Darie (14 June 1959 – 18 September 2019) was a Romanian theater director. Born into an acting family, the son of Iurie Darie and Consuela Roșu, he graduated from the Caragiale Academy of Theatrical Arts and Cinematography in Bucharest in 1983. He directed dozens of plays and was the director of the Bulandra Theater in Bucharest from 2002 until his death in 2019. From 2006 to 2011 he was the president of the Union of European Theatres (UTE). He was nominated for and won a number of awards, both at the national level and the international level; his plays were performed in both Romania and abroad. Darie married and later divorced scenographer Maria Miu; they had a son, Serghei. He died after battling cirrhosis at the in Bucharest. He was buried in the city's Bellu Cemetery. Bulandra Theater
The Bulandra Theatre () in Bucharest, Romania was founded in 1947 as Teatrul Municipal; its first director was Lucia Sturdza-Bulandra, one of the leading Romanian stage actresses of her generation. Liviu Ciulei was director between 1963 and 1972; one of the most important directors since then was Ștefan Iordănescu (1999–2002), who restructured the theatre management. From 2002 until his death in 2019, the theatre was directed by Alexandru Darie; as of 2020, the director is Vlad Zamfirescu.
