''Offside'' () is a 2000 Turkish comedy-drama film, written and directed by Serdar Akar, about a local amateur football that hopes to win the league championship. ''On Board'' () is a 1998 Turkish drama film, written and directed by Serdar Akar. The film is about four sailors who kidnap a prostitute, and went on to nationwide general release across Turkey on . It won awards at film festivals in Ankara and Antalya, including the Golden Orange for Second Best Film. It was shot concurrently with '' A Madonna in Laleli'' (), directed by Kudret Sabancı, and many of the main characters from the two films cross paths. Synopsis A dredging ship is anchored in Istanbul for food and supplies. But the sailor sent to get them is mugged by six people and one weeks' worth of wages are stolen from him. Rekin Teksoy (1928 – May 30, 2012) was a Turkish lawyer, author and translator. Career Teksoy taught courses in Istanbul University’s Communications Faculty on ''Art of Cinema'' and ''Cinema and Literature Relations'' for over twenty years. He served on the executive board of ''Turkish Cinematech Association''. He also published articles of film criticism in the 1960s and later became one of the founding members of ''Turkish Foundation of Cinema and Audiovisual Culture'' (TURSAK). In 1994, Teksoy began to prepare and present the weekly cinema and literature program for Turkish Radio and Television 2 ( TRT 2); the shows continued for 601 weeks. Mustafa Fahir Atakoğlu (, born 28 January 1963) is a Turkish American pianist and composer who has worked with a wide range of artists across many genres of music, ranging in style from symphonic scoring to advertising jingles.
