Daníel Leó Grétarsson
Daníel Leó Grétarsson Schmidt (born 2 October 1995) is an Icelandic professional footballer who plays as a centre-back for SønderjyskE and the Iceland national team. He has previously played for Grindavík, Aalesund and Blackpool. Club career On 12 November 2014, Daníel signed a three-year contract with Norwegian Tippeligaen side Aalesunds FK. On 5 October 2020, Daníel joined Blackpool in the English Football League for an undisclosed fee. Daníel signed for Śląsk Wrocław on 27 January 2022 for an undisclosed fee. After 1.5 years in Poland, he moved to Denmark and joined Danish 1st Division club SønderjyskE on 26 June 2023, signing a deal until June 2027. Keflavík
Keflavík (pronounced , meaning ''Driftwood Bay'') is a town in the Reykjanes region in southwest Iceland. It is included in the municipality of Reykjanesbær whose population as of 2016 is 15,129. 2020 Eliteserien
The 2020 Eliteserien was the 76th season of top-tier football in Norway. This was fourth season of Eliteserien as rebranding from Tippeligaen. The season was scheduled to begin on 4 April. However, due to the COVID-19 pandemic in Norway the opening games of the season were delayed. It was first delayed until 2 May, then further delayed until 23 May. The season was scheduled to end 29 November 2020, not including play-off matches, but was rescheduled to conclude on 22 December. On 7 May, the Norwegian government allowed the league to start on 16 June with full training starting immediately. Molde were the defending champions. Aalesund, Sandefjord and Start joined as the promoted clubs from the 2019 1. divisjon. They replaced Lillestrøm, Tromsø and Ranheim who were relegated to the 2020 1. divisjon. OBOS-ligaen
The Norwegian First Division, also called 1. divisjon () and OBOS-ligaen (due to sponsoring ties with OBOS), is the second-highest level of the Norwegian football league system. Each year, the top finishing teams in the 1. divisjon are promoted to the Eliteserien, and the lowest finishing teams are relegated to 2. divisjon. 1. divisjon was previously known as 2. divisjon (1963–1990) and replaced regional league Landsdelsserien (1951–1962) after the latter was dissolved after the 1961–62 season. Eliteserien () is a professional association football league in Norway and the highest level of the Norwegian football league system. Contested by 16 clubs, it operates on a system of promotion and relegation with the Norwegian First Division. Seasons run from March to November with each team playing 30 matches (playing each other home and away). Most games are played on Sunday evenings.
