Nick Danziger
Nick Danziger HonFRPS CF (born 22 April 1958) is a British photographer, film maker and travel writer. Early life Danziger was born in Marylebone, London but grew up in Monaco and Switzerland. Work Danziger attended The Chelsea School of Art in London, where he earned an MA in Fine Art. In 1982 he received a Churchill Fellowship which enabled him to spend 18 months on the ancient Silk Route from Turkey to China, disguised as a local traveller, taking photographs which resulted in his book ''Danziger's Travels''. Danziger has since travelled the world taking photographs and making documentary films. Most of his work is based on people living in difficult circumstances, particularly young people. His photographs have appeared in newspapers and magazines worldwide, toured museums and galleries internationally, and are held in numerous museum collections. Danziger Höhe
The Danziger Höhe (i.e. Danzig Heights; Kreis Danziger Höhe) was an administrative district founded in 1887 and dissolved in 1939. The district administration was based in the City of Danzig, which itself did not form part of the district but was an independent city (Stadtkreis). The area Danziger Höhe covered is now within Poland. History The district was formed from parts of the previous within the Danzig Region in the province of West Prussia, within the Kingdom of Prussia, itself a part of Germany since 1871. In 1910, the district had 53,506 inhabitants, of which 23,955 were Protestant and 29,206 were Catholic. 9.7% had officially declared that they spoke the Kashubian language. The Danziger Bridge is a vertical lift bridge that carries seven vehicular lanes of U.S. Route 90 (Chef Menteur Highway) across the Industrial Canal in New Orleans, Louisiana. Edward J. Danziger (1909–1999) and Harry Lee Danziger (1913–2005) were American-born brothers who produced many British films and TV shows in the 1950s and 1960s. According to one profile "throughout the 1950s and early 1960s, their second features and TV series seemed to be on screens everywhere, their pervasive presence forming a part of virtually every British filmgoer's and television viewer's experience during those years." Yitzhak Danziger
Yitzhak Danziger (; 26 June 1916 – 11 July 1977) was an Israeli sculptor. He was one of the pioneer sculptors of the Canaanite Movement, and later joined the " Ofakim Hadashim" (New Horizons) group. Early life Danziger was born in Berlin in 1916. His father was a surgeon and served in the German Army during World War I. The family settled in Jerusalem. Danziger studied art at the Slade School of Fine Art 1934–37. He met Marion Edie at the Slade and they later married and had a son, Jeremy. Marion's mother was Muslim and Marion's union with Danziger was happy. They remained friends after their separation. Danziger's work was influenced by his visits to the British Museum, the Anthropological Museum and the art from Ancient Egypt, Assyria, Babylon, Persia, India and Oceania and Africa.
