''Dansen'' is a short play by German playwright and dramatist Bertolt Brecht (1898–1956) written in 1939. Although not as widely recognized and produced due to its short length, the play is a good representation both of Brecht's writing style and political beliefs. It serves as an allegory for the actions of European countries during World War II via the experiences of the pig farmer Dansen as he deals with a stranger who is terrorizing local business owners. Context Brecht wrote this short play, as well as the very similar How Much Is Your Iron?, while seeking refuge in Denmark and Sweden from the fear of persecution under Nazism. Danson Tang () is a Taiwanese model, actor and singer. Early life Tang was born on 2 September 1984, in Keelung, Taiwan. He has an elder sister who is four years older. When Tang was fourteen, his father passed away in a work-related accident, leaving his mother to care for him and his sister on her own. To support the family and fund his sister’s overseas education, Tang’s mother had to leave home to find work, leaving him to live alone. Relatives and neighbors occasionally checked in on him to ensure his well-being. Barnett Jerome "Barney" Danson (February 8, 1921 – October 17, 2011) was a Canadian politician and Cabinet minister. Family Barnett Jerome "Barney" Danson was born to a Jewish family in Toronto's Parkdale neighbourhood. He joined The Queen's Own Rifles of Canada in 1939 as the Second World War broke out. He rose to the rank of Lieutenant and served until he was severely wounded, losing an eye, in the Battle of Normandy.
