Danny Mendick
Daniel Christopher Mendick (born September 28, 1993) is an American former professional baseball infielder. He has previously played in Major League Baseball (MLB) for the Chicago White Sox and New York Mets. Amateur career Mendick attended Pittsford Mendon High School in Pittsford, New York and had no college baseball scholarship offers out of high school. He started his college baseball career at Monroe Community College before transferring to the University of Massachusetts Lowell shortly after they became an NCAA Division I baseball program. He was drafted by the Chicago White Sox in the 22nd round of the 2015 Major League Baseball draft. Infielder
An infielder is a baseball player stationed at one of four defensive "infield" positions on the baseball field, between first base and third base. Standard arrangement of positions In a game of baseball, two teams of nine players take turns playing offensive and defensive roles. Although there are many rules to baseball, in general the team playing offense tries to score runs by batting balls into the field that enable runners to make a complete circuit of the four bases. 2015 Major League Baseball Draft
The 2015 Major League Baseball draft was held from June 8 through June 10, 2015, to assign amateur baseball players to MLB teams. The draft order is the reverse order of the 2014 MLB season standings. As the Diamondbacks finished the 2014 season with the worst record, they had the first overall selection. Jaime Jonathan Barría Soto (born July 18, 1996) is a Panamanian professional baseball pitcher for the Algodoneros de Unión Laguna of the Mexican League. Southern League All-Star Game
The Southern League All-Star Game was an annual baseball game sanctioned by Minor League Baseball between professional players from the teams of the Double-A Southern League. Each division, North and South, fielded a team composed of players in their respective divisions as voted on by the managers, general managers, and broadcasters from each of the league's eight clubs. From the first All-Star Game in 1964 through 1998, the event predominantly consisted of a single team of the league's All-Stars versus a Major League Baseball team. The Arizona Fall League (AFL) is an off-season baseball league owned and operated by Major League Baseball (MLB) which operates during autumn in Arizona, United States, at six different baseball complexes. Arizona Fall League rosters are filled by many of the top prospects in Minor League Baseball (MiLB) who are assigned by their parent clubs. The Birmingham Barons are a Minor League Baseball team based in Birmingham, Alabama. The Carolina League is a Minor League Baseball league which has operated along the Atlantic Coast of the United States since 1945. Having been classified at various levels throughout its existence, it operated at Class A-Advanced from 1990 until its demotion to Single-A following Major League Baseball's 2021 reorganization of the minor leagues.
