Daniela Crăsnaru
Daniela-Carmen Crăsnaru (born 14 April 1950) is a Romanian poet whose works have been widely translated. She has also written short stories and works for children. From 1990 to 1992, Crăsnaru was a deputy in the Romanian parliament, representing the National Salvation Front (FSN). Crăsnaru has authored poetry, short stories and children's books. One of the most important contemporary poets in Romania, she has received international acclaim as a result of the translation of her poetry into at least 15 languages. The Chamber of Deputies () is the lower house in Romania's Bicameralism, bicameral Parliament of Romania, parliament. It has 312 regular seats to which Chamber of Deputies, deputies are elected by direct popular vote using party-list proportional representation to serve four-year terms. Additionally, the organisation of each Minorities in Romania, national ethnic minority is entitled to a seat in the Chamber (under the limitation that a national minority is to be represented by one organisation only). National Salvation Front (Romania)
The National Salvation Front (, FSN) was the most important political organization formed during the Romanian Revolution in December 1989; it set up the interim governing body, the National Salvation Front Council of Romania, in the first weeks after the collapse of the Socialist Republic of Romania, communist regime. The FSN subsequently became a political party, the largest party in post-Socialist Republic of Romania , communist Romania, and won the 1990 Romanian general election, 1990 election with 66% of the national vote. Ion Iliescu, co-leader of the FSN, won election as President of Romania with 85% of the vote.
