Daniel Bútora
Daniel Bútora (born in 1967) is a Slovak educator and journalist. From May to October 2023, he served as the Minister of Education of Slovakia. Biography Bútora was born in 1967 in Bratislava. His father is the sociologist and diplomat Martin Bútora and his grandfather from his mother side was the poet Laco Novomeský. In the 1980 he started participating on the activities of the Underground church and eventually in the wider anti-communist dissent. Bútora enrolled to study Library and Information Science at the Comenius University but did not graduate due to his focus on political activism and journalism. In 1992 he moved to Prague where he studied American studies at the Charles University, graduating in 1998. ĽudovÃt Ódor
ĽudovÃt Ódor (; born 2 July 1976) is a Slovak economist and politician who served as Prime Minister of Slovakia from May to October 2023, heading a technocratic cabinet. From July to October 2023, he also served as Minister of the Interior. Prior to his appointment as prime minister, Ódor served as Deputy Governor of the National Bank of Slovakia, from 2018 to 2023. He was the first Slovak prime-minister from the ethnic Hungarian minority in Slovakia. Ódor led the liberal Progressive Slovakia's list for the 2024 European parliament election. Zuzana Čaputová
Zuzana Čaputová (; Strapáková; born 21 June 1973) is a Slovak politician, lawyer and environmental activist who served as the fifth president of Slovakia from 2019 to 2024. Čaputová is the first woman to hold the presidency, as well as the youngest president in the history of Slovakia, elected at the age of 45. Čaputová first became known by prevailing in a decade-long struggle against the situating of a toxic landfill in her hometown of Pezinok. Comenius University Bratislava () is the largest university in Slovakia, with most of its faculties located in Bratislava. It was founded in 1919, shortly after the creation of Czechoslovakia. Ján Horecký (born 23 June 1968) is a Slovak teacher and politician who serves as a member of the National Council of Slovakia. He had previously served as the Minister of Education, Science, Research and Sport in the Cabinet of Eduard Heger. Teaching career Horecký graduated in teaching of Mathematics and Geography at Comenius University in 1991 and worked as a teacher at Ján Papánek High School in Bratislava until 1997.
