Dan Spătaru (footballer)
Dan Spătaru (born 24 May 1994) is a Moldovan professional footballer who plays as an attacking midfielder or winger for Moldovan Liga club Petrocub Hîncești. Club career In February 2015, Zimbru Chișinău loaned Spătaru to Romanian club Astra Giurgiu, until the end of the 2015–16 season. He was permanently transferred to Romanian club Dinamo București, on 28 February 2017. In July 2017, after his contract with Dinamo was terminated, Spătaru signed with another Liga I team: Politehnica Iași, on a two-year deal. On 29 December 2020, Ararat-Armenia announced the signing of Spătaru on a free-transfer after his FC Noah contract expired. On 9 January 2021, Ararat-Armenia announced that Spătaru had left the club after his contract had expired. On 1 February 2022, Spătaru returned to FC Noah. The Moldova national under-21 football team represents Moldova in international Association football, football at this age level and is controlled by the Moldovan Football Federation, the governing body for football in Moldova. The team is considered to be the feeder team for the senior Moldova national football team, Moldovan national football team. The Cupa Ligii () was Romania's secondary club football tournament. Like the Cupa României, it was played on a knockout (single elimination) basis. History It is unclear when the competition was first created, as there are no official recordings. It started in 1994, but there may already have been an edition as early as 1978. Cupa Ligii was meant to shorten the break between the end of the league season and the start of a major international competition. The competition under the name of ''Samsung Cup'' was Gheorghe Copos' idea and was held at the end of the 1993-94 season with the 18 teams of the Romanian first division and Rapid Bucharest being the winner and received a financial reward of $100,000. Asociația Fotbal Club Astra Giurgiu (), commonly known as Astra Giurgiu or simply Astra, was a Romanian football club last based in the city of Giurgiu, Giurgiu County. Founded in 1921 in Ploiești as ''Clubul Sportiv Astra-Română'', it spent most of its history in the lower leagues.
