Dan Põldroos
Dan Põldroos (6 March 1970 – 5 May 2007) was an Estonian stage, television and film actor who began performing on stage at age fifteen. Although mostly known for comedic roles, he was also an accomplished dramatic actor. Põldroos' career ended at age thirty-seven when he died unexpectedly. Early life and education Dan Põldroos was born in Tallinn. He was an only child from his parents' marriage, though he had a half-sibling and a step-sibling. His grandfather's brother was actor, writer, and director Priit Põldroos. As a hobby at age fifteen, he began performing with the local literary theatre Varius. Katrin Laur (née Poola, born in 1955) is an author, film director and professor. She lives in Estonia and Germany. Biography Laur was born in 1955 in Tartu, Estonian Soviet Socialist Republic, Estonian SSR. In 1973 in Soviet-occupied Tallinn she graduated from a school that gave an excellent command of English (Tallinn Secondary School N°7), she then had different jobs. Laur learned photography at the Tallinn Technical School N°2 and studied philosophy for one year at the Moscow State University. Rummu Jüri (born Jüri Rummo; in Kehtna Parish – unknown) was an Estonian itinerant, thief and robber. He has become the archetypical Estonian folk hero, an outlaw who stole from the rich to give to the poor. Although most noted for his material egalitarianism, in the stories he also pursues other types of equality and justice. Early life and criminal career Jüri was born in Kehtna Parish as the first child of farm tenant Jaan Rummo and his wife Anne. Jaan Kolberg (born 21 November 1958) is an Estonian film director and producer. Jaan Kolberg was born in Pärnu, where he attended primary and secondary schools. Brian O'Nolan (; 5 October 19111 April 1966), his pen name being Flann O'Brien, was an Irish civil service official, novelist, playwright and satirist, who is now considered a major figure in twentieth-century Irish literature. Eduard Vilde
Eduard Vilde ( – 26 December 1933) was an Estonian writer, a pioneer of critical realism in Estonian literature, and a diplomat. He was the author of classics such as ''The War in Mahtra'' and ''The Milkman from Mäeküla''.
