Damián Giménez
Damián Joel Giménez (born February 26, 1982) is an Argentinian football (soccer), football player, who most recently played for Cerro Largo F.C., Cerro Largo in the Uruguayan Primera División. He also holds an Italy, Italian passport. Giménez is a left-sided Defender (football), defender, but can also operate in Midfielder, midfield. Club career Most of his early career Giménez spent with Club Atlético Banfield, Banfield in Argentina. In 2005, he played in the Copa Libertadores 2005, Copa Libertadores with Club Atlético Banfield, Banfield. The club reached the quarterfinals of that tournament, losing 3–4 to Club Atlético River Plate, River Plate on aggregate. He has also spent two seasons playing in Italy with Pescara Calcio, Pescara in Serie B. After spending the first year in Italy, Giménez moved back to Argentina due to family problems. Lomas de Zamora is a city in the province of Buenos Aires, Argentina, located south of the City of Buenos Aires and within the metropolitan area of Greater Buenos Aires.
