Daimí Ramírez
Daymi de La Caridad Ramirez Echevarria (born 8 October 1983) is a Cuban volleyball player who competed in the 2004 Summer Olympics, 2004 and 2008 Summer Olympics. In 2004, Ramírez was a member of the Cuban team that won the bronze medal in the Olympic tournament. Four years later, Ramírez finished fourth with the Cuban team in the Volleyball at the 2008 Summer Olympics – Women's tournament, 2008 Olympic tournament. Ramírez was born in Havana. The FIVB Volleyball World Grand Prix was an annual women's volleyball competition created in 1993. The men's version of the competition was called World League. This event should not be confused with the other international volleyball competitions, the World Championship, the World Cup and the World Grand Champions Cup. Tatiana Sergeyevna Kosheleva (, born 23 December 1988) is a Russian volleyball player. She was a member of the Russia women's national volleyball team that won the gold medal at the 2010 World Championship, the 2013 European Championship and the 2015 European Championship. Career Club At club level, she played for Dinamo Moscow, Zarechie Odintsovo, Dinamo Kazan and Dinamo Krasnodar before joining Eczacıbaşı VitrA in 2016. Kosheleva led Dinamo Krasnodar with 37 points in the final match to win the 2014–15 CEV Cup gold medal and the Most Valuable Player award. Taismary Agüero Leiva (born 5 March 1977) is a Cuban-born Italian volleyball player. She is the only player to have represented two women's national volleyball teams that won major titles (1995 FIVB World Cup, 1996 Atlanta Olympic Games, 1998 FIVB World Championship, 1999 FIVB World Cup and 2000 Sydney Olympic Games for Cuba; 2007 FIVB World Cup for Italy). The 2017 Women's South American Volleyball Club Championship was the ninth official edition of the women's volleyball tournament, played by six teams from 14 to 18 February 2017 in Uberaba and Uberlândia, Brazil. Igtisadchi Baku is an Azerbaijani women's volleyball club. History Igtisadchi Baku was founded in the Summer of 2008 and immediately got the right to participate in the Azerbaijan Women's Volleyball Super League, Azerbaijan Super League, qualifying after just one season to the CEV Women's Challenge Cup. Volleyball At The 2008 Summer Olympics – Women's Tournament
The women's tournament in volleyball at the 2008 Summer Olympics was held at Capital Indoor Stadium and Beijing Institute of Technology Gymnasium from 9 to 23 August 2008. The twelve competing teams were split equally into two pools of six teams. Each team played all other teams in their pool with the winning team gaining two points and the losing side earning one point. The top four teams from each pool progressed through to the quarterfinals. The rest of the tournament was a single-elimination bracket, with a bronze medal match held between the two semifinal losers. A total of 38 matches were played: 15 in each group, four quarterfinals, two semifinals, one bronze medal match, and one gold medal match.
