''Daddy's Little Girl'' is the only studio album by American rapper Nikki D. It was released on September 3, 1991 through Def Jam Recordings. Recording sessions took place at Power Play Studios, Chung King Studios, Greene St. Recording, Libra Digital Sound, Marathon Studios and Island Media Studios in New York. Production was handled by S.I.D. Reynolds, Leaders of the New School, The Epitome of Scratch, Eric "Vietnam" Sadler, Smooth Ice, Prince Paul and Sam Sever. The album reached number 54 on the US ''Billboard'' Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums; while its eponymous lead single reached No. 10 on the Hot Dance Singles Sales and No. 1 on the Hot Rap Singles. Nikki D
Nichelle Strong (born September 10, 1968), known by her stage name Nikki D is an American rapper. Career Strong signed with Def Jam in 1989 and released her debut single (music), single "Lettin' Off Steam" the following year. It was produced by Sam Sever. The single's music video, video featured Flavor Flav. In 1991, Strong released the more commercially viable song, "Daddy's Little Girl", which appeared on the Indie film ''Just Another Girl on the I.R.T.'' soundtrack, reaching #1 on the US ''Billboard (magazine), Billboard'' Hot Rap Singles record chart, chart. In the issue dated March 16, 1985, '' Billboard'' magazine debuted its first chart devoted exclusively to 12-inch Singles Sales. The 50-position weekly ranking joined ''Billboard''s established Club Songs chart, reduced to the same 50 positions, both under the title Hot Dance/Disco. A coupling from MCA Records' ''Beverly Hills Cop'' soundtrack, Patti LaBelle's " New Attitude" and Harold Faltermeyer's "Axel F", held the No. 1 slot for the chart's first week and was also No. 1 for the second consecutive week on the most played dance/disco chart. On June 20, 1992, the chart was renamed Maxi-Singles Sales, then simply Dance Singles Sales on March 1, 2003. Al Green
Albert Leornes Greene (born April 13, 1946), better known as Al Green, is an American singer, songwriter, pastor and record producer best known for recording a series of soul hit singles in the early 1970s, including " Take Me to the River", " Tired of Being Alone", " I'm Still in Love with You", " Love and Happiness", and his signature song, " Let's Stay Together". After an incident in which his girlfriend died by suicide, Green became an ordained pastor and turned to gospel music. He later returned to secular music. Willie Hall (drummer)
Willie Clarence Hall (born August 8, 1950) is an American drummer best known for his work with Isaac Hayes and as a member of the Blues Brothers band. Biography Hall began his career as a drummer in 1965, while still in high school. He played with the Bar-Kays and Isaac Hayes' band The Movement. In the seventies, as part of the Stax-Volt Recording Section Team from 1968 to 1977, Hall backed dozens of major Stax artists on recordings, including The Emotions, Little Milton, Carla and Rufus Thomas, Johnnie Taylor, The Staple Singers, Albert King and Isaac Hayes. Hall produced Hayes' last Stax album, and did percussion on Hayes' albums ''Hot Buttered Soul'' and '' The Isaac Hayes Movement'', as well as his ''Theme from Shaft''. James Alexander (musician)
James Alexander (born December 17, 1948) is an American soul and R&B musician. He is a longtime member of the band the Bar-Kays, for which he plays bass guitar. Early life and family Alexander was born at McLemore Clinic in Memphis, Tennessee. In a 2014 interview, he stated that the clinic was across the street from Stax Records' headquarters, and that he grew up about a block away from Stax. Alexander attended Booker T. Washington High School in Memphis. He is the father of noted hip-hop and R&B producer Phalon "Jazze Pha" Alexander, whom he named after his best friend and late Bar-Kays bandmate Phalon Jones. Allen Alvoid Jones Jr. (December 29, 1940 – May 5, 1987) was an American record producer and songwriter. Jones produced several albums for Albert King (including ''I'll Play the Blues for You'', ''The Blues Don't Change'' and ''I Wanna Get Funky''), and became the producer and manager for the Bar-Kays. He produced all of their records including their last records for Mercury Records. He formed their production company, and produced other acts such as Kwick on EMI and executively produced Ebony Webb, also on EMI.
