Alice Guerin Crist (1876–1941) was an Australian poet, author and journalist. Early life Crist was born in Clare Castle, Ireland on 6 February 1876 to Patrick and Winifred (née Rohan or Rouhan) Guerin. When she was two years old, the family migrated to Queensland, where her father taught in rural schools, including as head teacher of Tent Hill Upper school in May 1880. Career Crist's writing career began before she reached her teens. Her first short story was published in Brisbane newspaper, ''The Queenslander ''The Queenslander'' was the weekly summary and literary edition of the '' Brisbane Courier'', the leading journal in the colony—and later, federal state—of Queensland since the 1850s. Carole Lynn Crist (née Oumano, formerly Rome) is an American businesswoman and former First Lady of Florida. Crist is the former wife of U.S. Representative and one-term Florida Governor Charlie Crist, having served as First Lady of Florida from December 12, 2008, to January 4, 2011. Personal life Crist was born and raised in Roslyn, New York, a New York City suburb on Long Island. She is the daughter of Margaret and Robert Oumano. Mr. Oumano was the former president of the Franco-American Novelty Company, a family-owned Halloween and costume business. The company was founded in 1910 and was based in Glendale, Queens. Crist graduated magna cum laude from Georgetown University with a degree in accounting. Crist has two daughters from her first marriage to Todd Rome. Charles Joseph Crist Jr. (; born July 24, 1956) is an American attorney and politician who served as the 44th governor of Florida from 2007 to 2011 and as the U.S. representative for from 2017 to 2022. Crist has been a member of the Democratic Party since 2012; he was previously a Republican before becoming an independent in 2010. Crist served in the Florida Senate from 1993 to 1999, vacating his seat to run unsuccessfully against incumbent Bob Graham for the U.S. Senate in 1998. He won a 2000 special election to serve as Florida Education Commissioner from 2001 to 2003 and a 2002 election to serve as Florida Attorney General from 2003 to 2007. Charles Thomas "Chuck" Crist (January 16, 1951 – October 28, 2020) was an American professional football safety in the National Football League for the New York Giants, New Orleans Saints, and the San Francisco 49ers. Unusually for an NFL player, Crist never played college football. A star quarterback and defensive back in high school football and a standout on the basketball court as well in Salamanca, New York (Crist ranks second overall in Salamanca High School basketball scoring with 1,004 points, behind only Jack O'Rourke), Crist received an athletic scholarship to Penn State University. The Crist Brothers were an American professional wrestling tag team consisting of brothers David Crist Jr. and John Crist, who are best known by their ring names Dave Crist and Jake Crist, they are best known for their time with Impact Wrestling where Jake was a one-time Impact X Division Champion. For much of their career, they wrestled on the Midwest independent circuit, most notably for the Heartland Wrestling Association (HWA) as The Irish Airborne, where they won the HWA Tag Team Championship a record six times. They also wrestled for Combat Zone Wrestling (CZW), Chikara (professional wrestling), Chikara, IWA Mid-South (IWA MS), and Ring of Honor (ROH), as well as Canadian promotions, Far North Wrestling (FNW) and UWA Hardcore Wrestling (UWA).
