Cranmer Hall, Durham
Cranmer Hall is a Church of England theological college based at Durham, England. Cranmer Hall forms part of St John's College, Durham which is a recognised college of Durham University. It stands in the Open Evangelical tradition. Cranmer Hall currently trains ordinands for the Church of England and the wider Anglican Communion. History The college is named after Thomas Cranmer, Archbishop of Canterbury during the reign of Henry VIII. St John's College, of which Cranmer is one of the two constituent halls, was established in 1909. Having become part of Durham University in 1919, the college was formally divided into the two halls in 1958. Cranmer Hall, the theological training institution and the non-theological John's Hall. Michael Gear (bishop)
Michael Frederick Gear (27 November 1934 – 26 January 2018) was Suffragan Bishop of Doncaster. Gear was educated at St John's College, Durham. Chris Edmondson
Christopher Paul Edmondson (born 25 June 1950) is a British Anglican retired bishop. He was the Bishop of Bolton, a suffragan bishop in the Diocese of Manchester, from 2008 to 2016. He is presently an Honorary Assistant Bishop in the Diocese of Leeds. Early life and education Edmondson was born on 25 June 1950. He was educated at St John's College, Durham University. Ordained ministry Edmondson was ordained in 1974 and began his ecclesiastical career with a curacy at Kirkheaton. From 1979 until 1986 he was Vicar of Ovenden, and also in the latter part of his Incumbency the Bishop of Wakefield's adviser on Evangelism. Angela Berners-Wilson
Angela Veronica Isabel Berners-Wilson (born 1954) is a Church of England priest and chaplain. She is considered to be the first woman to be ordained as a priest in the Church of England. She was chaplain at the University of Bath from 2004 to 2016, and is now rector of a multi-church benefice. Early life and education Berners-Wilson was born in 1954. Since May 2017, he has been the Warden (college), Warden of Cranmer Hall, Durham, an open evangelical Church of England theological college. Anne Catherine Dyer (born February 1957) is a British Anglican bishop, previously a rector and an academic administrator. In 2018, she became Bishop of Aberdeen and Orkney in the Scottish Episcopal Church. John Lawrence Pritchard (born 22 April 1948) is a Church of England bishop. He was the Bishop of Oxford from 2007 to 2014. He is in the Open Evangelical tradition. Early life Pritchard was born in Salford, Lancashire. He was educated at Arnold School, then an all-boys direct grant grammar school in Blackpool, Lancashire. Ian Patrick Martyn Cundy (23 April 19457 May 2009) was a Church of England cleric who served successively as area Bishop of Lewes and Bishop of Peterborough.
