Countryside Of Moche
The Countryside of Moche is an area of Trujillo city inherited from mochica culture. It is located in the Moche District about 4 km south of the Historic Centre of Trujillo. Today it is a tourist area that presents recreational centers, agricultural areas and alongside this countryside. The Temples of the Sun and Moon is located in it. It is part of the Moche or Santa Catalina valley and was a place of development in the Moche culture. Description In the countryside of Moche one can appreciate the lifestyle of mocheros, expressed in the manufacture of pottery, leatherwork, wood and stone carvings, basketry, and others, as in its cuisine or gastronomy, expressed in local dishes like theologian soup, pepián of turkey, and regional as ceviche, goat, and duck stew. Huaca Sol Lou
In the Quechuan languages of South America, a huaca or wak'a is an object that represents something revered, typically a monument of some kind. The term ''huaca'' can refer to natural locations, such as immense rocks. Some huacas have been associated with veneration and ritual. Moche (culture)
The Moche civilization (; alternatively, the Mochica culture or the Early, Pre- or Proto- Chimú) flourished in northern Peru with its capital near present-day Moche, Trujillo, Peru from about 100 to 700 AD during the Regional Development Epoch. Historic Centre Of Trujillo
The Historic Centre of Trujillo is the main urban area and the most important center of development and unfolding in the Peruvian city of Trujillo located in La Libertad Region. The whole process of its original urban fabric is in elliptical shape surrounded by España Avenue that was built in the wake of the Wall of Trujillo. It houses the seat of city government and other important entities in the locality. Huaca Del Sol
The Huaca del Sol is an adobe brick pyramid built by the Moche civilization (100 AD to 800 AD) on the northern coast of what is now Peru. The pyramid is one of several ruins found near the volcanic peak of Cerro Blanco, in the coastal desert near Trujillo at the Moche Valley. The other major ruin at the site is the nearby Huaca de la Luna, a better-preserved but smaller temple. By 450 AD, eight different stages of construction had been completed on the Huaca del Sol. The technique was additive; new layers of brick were laid directly on top of the old, hence large quantities of bricks were required for the construction. Archeologists have estimated that the Huaca del Sol was composed of over 130 million adobe bricks and was the largest pre-Columbian adobe structure built in the Americas. Moche Valley
The Valley of Moche, or ''Valley of Santa Catalina,'' is a large area of the La Libertad Region in northern Peru surrounding the Moche River. It has been farmed since the pre-Columbian era and currently contains rural and urban settlements. Trujillo is the most important city of the valley. It is now the location of several towns and agricultural areas where products such as sugarcane and asparagus are cultivated.
