The Outer Limits (1963 TV Series)
''The Outer Limits'' is an American television series that was broadcast on ABC from September 16, 1963, to January 16, 1965, at 7:30 PM Eastern Time on Mondays. It is often compared to ''The Twilight Zone'', but with a greater emphasis on science fiction stories (rather than stories of fantasy or the supernatural). It is an anthology of self-contained episodes, sometimes with plot twists at their ends. In 1997, the episode " The Zanti Misfits" was ranked #98 on TV Guide's 100 Greatest Episodes of All Time. It was revived in 1995, until its cancellation in 2002. In April 2019, a new revival was stated to be in development at a premium cable network. Gerald Allan Sohl Sr. (December 2, 1913 – November 4, 2002) was an American television scriptwriter and science fiction author who wrote for ''The Twilight Zone'' (as a ghostwriter for Charles Beaumont), '' Alfred Hitchcock Presents'', '' The Outer Limits'', ''Star Trek: The Original Series'' (once using the pseudonym "Nathan Butler"), and other shows. He wrote more than twenty novels as well as feature film scripts. He also wrote the nonfiction works ''Underhanded Chess'' and ''Underhanded Bridge'' in 1973. Novels ''New York Times'' reviewer Villiers Gerson described his 1953 novel ''The Transcendent Man'' as "contain ngenough twists to afford the reader a few hours' entertainment" despite being "oversimplified in motivation." Kenneth Peach
Kenneth D. Peach, Sr. (March 6, 1903 – February 27, 1988) was an American cinematographer. Biography Kenneth D. Peach Sr. was born in El Reno, Indian Territory (in what is now Oklahoma). Peach entered the film industry in 1923 and became a director of photography in 1926. He worked with composite processes, miniatures, montages and matte shots for Tiffany Pictures for two years, then joined Fred Jackman's technical effects department at Warner Bros.- First National for three years. In 1931 he joined RKO Pictures' special effects department. Michael Constantine (born Gus Efstratiou (Ευστρατίου); May 22, 1927 – August 31, 2021) was an American actor. He is most widely recognized for his portrayal of Kostas "Gus" Portokalos, the Windex bottle-toting Greek father of Toula Portokalos ( Nia Vardalos), in the film ''My Big Fat Greek Wedding'' (2002). Jacqueline Sue Scott (June 25, 1931 – July 23, 2020) was an American actress who appeared on Broadway and in several films, but mostly guest starred in more than 100 television programs. Biography The daughter of John and Maxine Scott, she settled down in Neosho, Missouri, where she graduated from Neosho High School in 1949. She then went to New York and attended Hunter College. Her initial experience on stage came when she traveled with a tent show in Missouri. Larry Ward (October 3, 1924 – February 16, 1985) was an American actor who appeared in many films and television series. He was sometimes credited under the name Ward Gaynor. Biography Ward was born in Columbus, Ohio. His father was a former college football coach and a member of the Ohio State Senate. Ward studied at a number of universities before joining the United States Navy, where he served for three years. Enrolling in the American Theatre Wing under the G.I.
