Corsicana Bowl
The Heritage Bowl (formerly the Corsicana Bowl) is an annual NCAA Division II post-season college football bowl game held in Corsicana, Texas at Tiger Stadium. Established in 2017 by Antwone "Tony" Taulton, the game is played each year on the first Saturday in December. The two participating teams will consist of schools competing in the Lone Star Conference, Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association and/or the Great American Conference. Tiger Stadium (Corsicana)
Community National Bank & Trust Stadium is a 10,001-capacity high school and junior collegiate American football, track and field and soccer stadium adjacent to Corsicana High School in Corsicana, Texas. It is the current home of the Corsicana Tigers football, track and field, and soccer teams, the Navarro College Bulldogs football team, and the Heritage Bowl (Corsicana), an NCAA Division II Football Bowl Game. History The sports complex began its history as part of a larger $44.5 million bond project that was passed in 2004 to enlarge the high school, renovate and expand Collins Middle School and improve facilities for sports and other extracurricular activities at both schools. The Tarleton State Texans football program, also known as the Tarleton Texans, is the intercollegiate American football team for Tarleton State University located in the U.S. state of Texas. The Southern Arkansas Muleriders football team represents Southern Arkansas University (SAU) in the sport of American football. The Southern Arkansas Muleriders compete in Division II of the National Collegiate Athletics Association (NCAA) and in the Great American Conference. SAU begin competing in 1911 when they were known as the Third District Agricultural School. Early Mulerider teams played local junior college and high school teams. The 2017 Tarleton State Texans football team represented Tarleton State University in the 2017 NCAA Division II football season. Corsicana, Texas
Corsicana is a city in Navarro County, Texas, United States. It is located on Interstate 45, 56 miles northeast of Waco, Texas. The population was 23,770 at the 2010 census. It is the county seat of Navarro County, and an important Agri-business center. History Founded in 1848, Corsicana was named by José Antonio Navarro after the Mediterranean island of Corsica, the birthplace of his father. He had died when Navarro and his many siblings were young. The first school opened shortly afterwards in 1849. Women's groups have had a strong role throughout the history of the city.
