Confederation Of Indigenous Peoples Of Bolivia
The Confederation of Indigenous Peoples of Bolivia, ( es, Confederación de Pueblos Indígenas de Bolivia; formerly, es, Confederación de Pueblos Indígenas del Oriente Boliviano or CIDOB), is a national representative organization of the Bolivian Indigenous peoples of the Americas, indigenous movement. It was founded in October 1982 in Santa Cruz de la Sierra as the Confederation of Indigenous Peoples of the Bolivian East, with the participation of representatives of four indigenous peoples of the Bolivian East: Guarani people, Guarani-Izoceños, Chiquitano people, Chiquitanos, Ayoreo people, Ayoreos and Guarayos. Currently, CIDOB gathers 34 peoples living in the Lowlands of Bolivia, in seven of the nine departments of Bolivia: Santa Cruz Department (Bolivia), Santa Cruz, Beni Department, Beni, Pando Department, Pando, Tarija Department, Tarija, Chuquisaca Department, Chuquisaca, Cochabamba Department, Cochabamba and La Paz Department, Bolivia, La Paz.
