Jenn Grant (born August 20, 1980) is a Canadian folk pop singer-songwriter based in Halifax, Nova Scotia. Career ''Jenn Grant and Goodbye Twentieth Century'' She performed as a musician for a time in her early teens, but stopped due to a bout of stage fright, and did not return to performing until her early 20s when she played some shows with The Heavy Blinkers. She then released an independent EP, ''Jenn Grant and Goodbye Twentieth Century'', in 2005. ''Orchestra for the Moon'' She collaborated on her debut album, ''Orchestra for the Moon'', with such artists as Ron Sexsmith, the Heavy Blinkers, Matt Mays and Jill Barber, and later toured Germany and Canada in support of the album, including as an opening act for The Weakerthans. Doug Paisley
Doug Paisley is a Canadian alternative country singer and songwriter with record label No Quarter Records. He was born in Toronto. Paisley's "What About Us?" was featured in Mojo magazine as part of a complimentary CD entitled ''New Harvest''. Paisley has previously toured with Bonnie Prince Billy under the name Dark Hand and Lamplight with artist Shary Boyle. Boyle would illuminate her art in the background while Paisley played the guitar and sang his songs. The pairing received recognition when they were selected to showcase at the Brooklyn Academy of Music in 2008. The Juno Awards of 2015 honoured Canadian music industry achievements in the latter part of 2013 and in most of 2014. Rachel Sermanni (born 7 November 1991) is a Scottish folk music, folk musician from Carrbridge in Strathspey, Scotland, Strathspey. She has toured with a number of well-known folk and independent music, indie artists in the United Kingdom. Her first album was released in September 2012. Biography Sermanni's grandfather moved from the Italian town of Barga, Tuscany, Barga in Tuscany to Scotland at a young age, the family later settling in Carrbridge, where she grew up. Her father is a police dog handler and her mother works for the NHS Scotland, National Health Service, helping children with mental health issues. She began singing and playing music from an early age in the forms of plays or spoof songs with her younger brother and sister, although at the time she dismissed this as being a normal household environment.
