Club River Plate Asunción, mostly known simply as River Plate, is a Paraguayan football club from the neighbourhood of Mburicaó, in Asunción; founded in 1911. The club has been playing in the lower divisions of the Paraguayan league for several decades and their most notable achievements are the three second-place finishes they achieved when they were playing in the first division. Estadio Jardines del Kelito is a football stadium in Paraguay that is located in the city of Asunción. It is the home venue of Club River Plate (Asunción), River Plate Asunción. Club River Plate (Asunción), River Plate Asunción's former stadium, which was located in the Mariscal López and General Santos avenues, was previously known as ''Kelito'' after the club received a donation of brass from a factory named ''Helados Kelito''. After the club bought a building, its yard was known as ''Los Jardines del Kelito''. Opened in 1987, the stadium was renovated in 2016 after River Plate achieved promotion to the Paraguayan Primera División, Primera División, receiving a new lighting system. José Saturnino Cardozo Otazú (; born 19 March 1971) is a Paraguayan football manager and former professional footballer.
