Chris Massey (born September 13, 1971) is a Republican member of the Mississippi Senate The Mississippi Senate is the upper house of the Mississippi Legislature, the state legislature of the U.S. state of Mississippi. Massey was arrested in 2016 for aggravated assault with a shovel for an argument with two maintenance workers. He was found guilty and given 6 months probation. Michael McLendon (born November 14, 1963) is an American politician and insurance producer who has served in the Mississippi State Senate from the 1st district since 2020. Early life and education McLendon was born in Dallas, Dallas, Texas and later moved to Tennessee, where he attended Oakhaven Baptist Academy in Memphis, Tennessee, Memphis. He graduated from Northwest Mississippi Community College and Memphis State University.
