Chief Minister Of Bagmati Province
The chief minister of Bagmati Province is the chief executive of the Nepal state of Bagmati Province. In accordance with the Constitution of Nepal, the governor is a state's ''de jure'' head, but ''de facto'' executive authority rests with the chief minister. Following elections to the Povincial Assembly of Bagmati Province, the state's governor usually invites the party (or coalition) with a majority of seats to form the government. The governor appoints the chief minister, whose council of ministers are collectively responsible to the assembly. Given the confidence of the assembly, the chief minister's term is for five years and is subject to no term limits. From 2018, 3 people have been Chief Minister of Bagmati Province. Astalaxmi Shakya of the CPN (Unified Marxist-Lininist) is only female to serve as the chief minister of the state. Rajendra Prasad Pandey is a Nepalese politician, belonging to the CPN (Unified Socialist) currently serving as the Chief minister of Bagmati Province. He's also the deputy chairman of the CPN (Unified Socialist). He became chief minister of the province with support of Nepali Congress, the ruling party of Nepal. 2017 Nepalese Provincial Elections
Provincial assembly elections were held in Nepal on 26 November and 7 December 2017 along with the general election. 330 seats in the seven newly created provincial assemblies were elected by first-past-the-post voting and 220 by proportional representation. The election was part of Nepal's transformation to a federal republic. Next Election will be held in 2022 unless dissolved earlier without completing the five years term. 2022 Nepalese provincial election will be the second election for provinces after completion of tenure of five years. Electoral system The 550 members of the provincial assemblies will be elected by two methods; 330 will be elected from single-member constituencies by first-past-the-post voting and 220 seats will be elected by closed list proportional representation for parties gathering more than 1.5% of the votes.
