Charles Mwando Nsimba
Charles Mwando Simba (18 October 1936– 12 December 2016) was a Congolese politician and member of UNADEF. He was born in Moba, Tanganyika District. From February 6, 2007, to October 2008, he served in the government of the Democratic Republic of the Congo as Minister of Rural Development. In October 2008, he was appointed as Defense Minister in Adolphe Muzito's cabinet, succeeding Chikez Diemu Ghislain Chikez (or Tshikez) Diemu is a politician in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, and a member of the People's Party for Reconstruction and Democracy (PPRD), of which he was previously Secretary General. Moba Port
Moba is a town located in the Democratic Republic of the Congo in Tanganyika Province. It is the administrative center of Moba Territory. Location Moba is situated on the western shore of the southern part of Lake Tanganyika, south-east of Kalemie, to which it is linked by regular boat services. The Rafiki is the largest and most comfortable of the available ferry services. The larger town of Kirungu (Kilungu) is on a plateau above the lake and 5 km from Moba. Tanganika District was a district of the pre-2015 Katanga Province in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. The district dates back to the days of the Belgian Congo. At its greatest extent it roughly corresponded to the present Tanganyika Province, with a small portion in the southwest now in Haut-Lomami Province. Ghislain Chikez (or Tshikez) Diemu is a politician in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, and a member of the People's Party for Reconstruction and Democracy (PPRD), of which he was previously Secretary General. He joined the Alliance of Democratic Forces for the Liberation of Congo (AFDL) in 1997 and was appointed Vice-Minister of the Interior by Joseph Kabila, and later on, Secretary General of the PPRD. He was also previously Vice-Governor of Katanga province for economic affairs. Starting 6 February 2007, he served as Minister of Defense and Veterans' Affairs (Anciens Combattants), supervising the FARDC, in the government of Antoine Gizenga. However President Kabila distrusts the official military structure in Kinshasa and prefers to give instructions directly to the commanders in the east.
