Census In Peru
A census in Peru is an enumeration of the Peruvian population made by the Peru government. The full name of a census in Spanish is like ''X Censo de Población y V de Vivienda'' in which ''X'' en ''V'' are Roman numerals for the tenth population census and fifth household census respectively. The first five times the census was made, only population data was included. From the sixth census onwards, also household data is included. The 2017 Peru Census was a detailed enumeration and twelfth national population census of Peru. It was conducted by the Instituto Nacional de Estadística e Informática on Sunday, October 22, 2017. Its full name in Spanish is XII Censo de Población, VII de Vivienda y III de Comunidades Indígenas. The previous census performed in Peru was the 2007 Census. The 1993 Peru Census was a detailed enumeration of the Peruvian population made on July 11, 1993, by the Instituto Nacional de Estadística e Informática. Its full name in Spanish is ''IX Censo de Población y IV de Vivienda'' ("Ninth Population and Fourth Household Census"). The latest census done by the Peruvian Government is the Peru 2007 Census. Censuses In Peru
A census is the procedure of systematically acquiring, recording and calculating information about the members of a given population. This term is used mostly in connection with national population and housing censuses; other common censuses include censuses of agriculture, traditional culture, business, supplies, and traffic censuses.
