Cecilia Mangini
Cecilia Mangini (31 July 1927 – 21 January 2021) was an Italian film director, considered the first female documentary filmmaker in Italy. In 1958, her first documentary was released, titled ''Ignoti alla Città'' (''Unknown to the City''). Written by Pier Paolo Pasolini, the film focused on adolescents in Rome's suburbs after World War II. Mangini died on 21 January 2021 in Rome. Personal life Born in 1927 in Mola di Bari, Italy, Mangini moved with her family to Florence at age six, when her father's leather business failed. She then moved to Rome in 1952 and worked in a film club federation, where she met and eventually married Lino Del Fra, with whom she collaborated on several film projects. "Cecilia" is a song by American musical duo Simon & Garfunkel. It was released in April 1970 as the third single from the group's fifth studio album, ''Bridge over Troubled Water'' (1970). Written by Paul Simon, the song's origins lie in a late-night party, in which the duo and friends began banging on a piano bench. They recorded the sound with a tape recorder, employing reverb and matching the rhythm created by the machine. Simon later wrote the song's guitar line and lyrics on the subject of an untrustworthy lover. The song was a hit single in the United States, peaking at number four on the ''Billboard (magazine), Billboard'' Hot 100. On the Cashbox (magazine), ''Cash Box'' Top 100, it reached number one. The ''Corriere della Sera'' (; en, "Evening Courier") is an Italian daily newspaper published in Milan with an average daily circulation of 410,242 copies in December 2015. First published on 5 March 1876, ''Corriere della Sera'' is one of Italy's oldest newspapers and is Italy's most read newspaper. Its masthead has remained unchanged since its first edition in 1876. It reached a circulation of over 1 million under editor and co-owner Luigi Albertini, between 1900 and 1925. He was a strong opponent of socialism, of clericalism, and of Prime Minister Giovanni Giolitti who was willing to compromise with those forces. "Regina caeli" (; Queen of Heaven) is a musical antiphon addressed to the Blessed Virgin Mary that is used in the liturgy of the Roman Rite of the Catholic Church during the Easter season, from Easter Sunday until Pentecost. During this season, it is the Marian antiphon that ends Compline (Night Prayer) and it takes the place of the traditional thrice-daily ''Angelus'' prayer. Marco Leto (18 January 1931 – 21 April 2016) was an Italian film and television director and screenwriter. Born in Rome, Leto started his career in the 1950s as an assistant director in a large number of films. In 1965 he started a collaboration with RAI TV, for which he directed several serials and TV movies.
