Dancing On Ice
''Dancing on Ice'' is a British television series presented by Phillip Schofield alongside Holly Willoughby from 2006 to 2011, who then returned in 2018, and Christine Bleakley from 2012 to 2014. The series features celebrities and their professional partners figure skating in front of a panel of judges. The series, broadcast on ITV (TV network), ITV, started on 14 January 2006 and ended on 9 March 2014 after the contract was not renewed by ITV. On 4 September 2017, it was announced that a revived series would air on ITV from 7 January 2018 with Schofield and Willoughby returning as hosts. Jayne Torvill and Christopher Dean assumed new roles as head judges, alongside original judge Jason Gardiner and new judge Ashley Banjo. In 2020, John Barrowman replaced Gardiner as a judge, however on 3 October 2021, it was announced that Barrowman would not be returning to the judging panel. Mark Hanretty
Mark Hanretty (born 21 March 1985) is a Scottish former competitive ice dancer who represented the United Kingdom with Christina Chitwood. They are two-time (2008, 2010) British medalists and competed at the 2009 European Championships, placing 18th and 2010 World championships in Turin. Competitive career Hanretty began figure skating in 1995. As a single skater, he was coached by John Christie and Diane C. Dewar in Edinburgh and East Kilbride. He switched to ice dancing in 2004. He competed briefly with Lauren Bradshaw. Hanretty and American ice dancer Christina Chitwood decided to team up on 31 December 2005 and began training together properly in May 2006. Their training was disrupted by Chitwood's contraction of mononucleosis (glandular fever). Samantha Mumba
Samantha Tamania Anne Cecilia Mumba (born 18 January 1983) is an Irish singer-songwriter, dancer, actress, fashion model and TV presenter. In 2000, at the age of 17, she shot to fame with the release of her debut single "Gotta Tell You", which reached the top five in Ireland, United Kingdom and the United States. Michael Zenezini
Michael Zenezini (30 September 1980) is a French ice dancer. With Melanie Espejo, he placed fifth at the 1998 World Junior Championships. In 2011, he performed on ''Dancing on Ice'' with Chloe Madeley. Skating career Competitive Zenezini grew up in Lyon and began skating at the age of eight. He competed in ice dancing and won the French junior title with Melanie Espejo. They were assigned to the 1997 World Junior Championships in Seoul, South Korea and finished ninth. The following season, they placed fifth at the 1998 World Junior Championships in Saint John, New Brunswick, Canada. Zenezini also competed briefly with Nathalie Péchalat and Véronique Delobel. Nina Ulanova (russian: Нина Уланова; occasionally romanised French-style as Oulanova; born 31 May 1978) is a Russian ice dancer. With former partner Michail Stifunin, she is the 1997 World Junior champion and 1998 Nebelhorn Trophy champion. Personal life Nina Ulanova was born in 1978 in Moscow. Olga Sharutenko (russian: Ольга Шарутенко; born 1 April 1978) is a Russian former competitive ice dancer. With Dmitri Naumkin, she is the 1995 World Junior champion, a two-time Nebelhorn Trophy champion (1995 and 1997), the 1996 Karl Schäfer Memorial, and a two-time Winter Universiade champion (1997 and 1999). Todd Sand (born October 30, 1963) is an American pair skater. With his wife Jenni Meno, he is the 1998 World silver medalist, a two-time World bronze medalist (1995, 1996), and a three-time U.S. national champion (1994–96). Sean Rice
Sean Rice (July 20, 1972 – January 14, 2022) was a Canadian pair skater who also competed in the fours discipline. With Jodeyne Higgins, he was the 1995 Skate Canada International bronze medalist, the 1992 Nebelhorn Trophy bronze medalist, and a two-time (1993, 1995) Canadian national bronze medallist. He was also a four-time (1993–1996) Canadian fours champion. Career Competing in pairs, Higgins and Rice won bronze at the 1992 Nebelhorn Trophy and at the 1993 Canadian Nationals. They were assigned to the 1993 World Championships where they placed 10th. The following season was less successful for the pair. They finished 6th at Nationals and were not sent to Worlds. Oscar Peter
Oscar Peter (born June 11, 1981) is a Swiss former competitive figure skater. As a single skater, he is a six-time Swiss national medalist, winning silver from 1998–2000 and bronze from 2001–2003. He took up ice dancing in 2003 and teamed up with Leonie Krail. Together, they became three-time Swiss national champions (2006, 2008, 2009) and competed in the final segment at four ISU Championships – 2006 Europeans, 2008 Europeans, 2009 Europeans, and 2008 Worlds. Pamela "Pam" O'Connor (born 22 March 1980 in Glasgow) is a Scottish former ice dancer who competed internationally representing Great Britain. With her husband Jonathon O'Dougherty, she is the 2003 British national champion. Career O'Connor competed with partner Jonathan O'Dougherty. They competed at one World Championships, finishing 19th in 2002, and twice at the European Championships, finishing 16th in 2003 and 14th in 2005.
