Captain Shreve High School
Captain Shreve High School (CSHS) is a public high school in Shreveport, Louisiana, United States. Opened in the fall of 1967, the school was named for Captain Henry Miller Shreve, who was responsible for clearing the log jam on the Red River, which led to the founding of Shreveport in 1835. Captain Shreve has the second largest enrollment of high schools in the Caddo Parish Public Schools district with an enrollment of over 1,635 students (2018-19 school year). Shreveport ( ) is a city in the U.S. state of Louisiana. It is the third most populous city in Louisiana after New Orleans and Baton Rouge, respectively. The Shreveport–Bossier City metropolitan area, with a population of 393,406 in 2020, is the fourth largest in Louisiana, though 2020 census estimates placed its population at 397,590. Adam Hamilton (musician)
Adam Hamilton is a Los Angeles-based music producer, songwriter, and session musician. Hamilton was the bassist of glam metal band L.A. Guns from 2001 through 2007, again from June to September 2018 as their rhythm guitarist, and again as their studio drummer since 2020. He also played drums for 1990s alternative rock band Joe 90, and worked as session drummer for alternative/neo-psychedelic band The Brian Jonestown Massacre. Hamilton is a multi-instrumentalist who plays guitar, bass, keyboards, and drums. Perkins is a graduate of both the United States Military Academy at West Point and Harvard Law School, and is an Army veteran. Keith Paul Hightower (born January 14, 1957) is an American businessman who was from 1998 to 2006 the Democratic mayor of Shreveport, Louisiana. Hightower graduated in 1975 from Captain Shreve High School; one of his classmates was later State Senator Greg Barro, a Shreveport lawyer. Hightower then graduated in 1979 from Louisiana Tech University in Ruston, the seat of Lincoln Parish. He was one of the relatively few graduates in his college class from Shreveport who returned to live and work in their hometown.
