Cameron Bellamy
Cameron Bellamy is an endurance athlete from South Africa. He has broken numerous records including being one of six men on a team to row across the Drake Passage in 2019. He also broke the record for the longest ocean channel swim previously held by Chloe McCardel. Early life and education Bellamy grew up in Cape Town, South Africa. He attended the University of Queensland in Australia where he earned a Master's Degree. Career Bellamy began swimming at the age of 29. In September 2019, Bellamy completed the longest ocean channel swim on record, making the trip from Barbados to St Lucia in 56 hours and 36 minutes. The previous record was held by Chloe McCardel who completed a trip approximately five years prior. Issyk-Kul Lake
Issyk-Kul (also Ysyk-Köl, ky, Ысык-Көл, lit=warm lake, translit=Ysyk-Köl, , zh, 伊塞克湖) is an endorheic lake (i.e., without outflow) in the Northern Tian Shan mountains in Eastern Kyrgyzstan. It is the seventh-deepest lake in the world, the tenth-largest lake in the world by volume (though not in surface area) and the second-largest saline lake after the Caspian Sea. Sarah Thomas (born 1982) is an American marathon swimmer. She is the first person to complete four consecutive crossings of the English Channel and the first person to swim a current-neutral swim over 100 miles. She holds the world record for longest, second-, and third-longest current-neutral swims, and various other records in both fresh and salt water categories. Personal life and early swimming Thomas was swimming in a year-round swimming team by the age of ten. She swam in high school at the 200m and 500m freestyle, and in the mile in her senior year.
