Caius Of Korea
Caius of Korea (1571 in Korea – 15 November 1624 in Nagasaki, Japan) is the 128th of the 205 Catholic Martyrs of Japan beatified by Pope Pius IX on 7 July 1867, after he had canonized the Twenty-six Martyrs of Japan five years before on 8 June 1862. The 19th century French Catholic missionary Claude-Charles Dallet wrote of him in his ''A history of the church in Korea'', "His history proves, in a dazzling way, that God would rather make a miracle than abandon an infidel who follows the lights of his conscience, and seeks the truth with an upright and docile heart." Biography Caius was born in Korea and was given to a Buddhist monastery by his parents. He left the monastery because he could not find the peace that he wanted there and went to a mountain to live as a hermit. Cajus Schmiedtlein
Cajus Schmiedtlein (ca. 1555–1611) was a German Renaissance composer and organist and is best known for his time as the organist at St. Mary's Church, Gdańsk. His name appears in different spelling variants in the Low German dialect (Caj Schmedeke, Key Schmedeke, Schmedecke, Smedeke, Schmedcke, Schmiedeke) and in Standard High German (Cajus Schmiedlein, Caius Schmitlein, Schmidtlein, Schmittlein). Biography Schmiedtlein is assumed to have been born around 1555 in the Dithmarschen district of Northern Germany. For an unspecified period he was active as organist in Husum until 1578, when he became organist at Saint Olaf's Church, Helsingør. But just a year later had to resign from this post following a controversy over his own initiative to create a pedal division and thus modifying the organ without the church authority's approval. ''Theretra cajus'' is a moth of the family Sphingidae. It is known from South Africa and Zimbabwe Zimbabwe (), officially the Republic of Zimbabwe, is a landlocked country located in Southeast Africa, between the Zambezi and Limpopo Rivers, bordered by South Africa to the south, Botswana to the south-west, Zambia to the north, and Mozam .... The abdomen upperside has two strong white longitudinal lines, which are fused at the anterior and posterior margins of each segment, giving the appearance of a chain. The forewing upperside has a dark brown band running between the first and third postmedian lines and fifth postmedian line, contrasting very strongly with the almost white intervening band. A distinct discal line is present, with another line proximal to it but generally lost in the brown discal area.
