CHM Montalivet
CHM Montalivet (CHM for "Centre Hélio-Marin", "center of sun and sea"), also known as CHM Monta, is the world's first naturist holiday resort located south of Montalivet, in Vendays-Montalivet, France. Île Du Levant
Île du Levant (), sometimes referred to as Le Levant, is a French island in the Mediterranean off the coast of the Riviera, near Toulon. It is one of the four that constitute the Îles d'Hyères. Part of the island is occupied by the naturist resort of Heliopolis and the rest is under military control. Euronat (naturist Resort)
Euronat is a naturist holiday resort near the CHM Montalivet naturist resort, in Grayan-et-l'Hôpital, France. After the success of CHM Montalivet, it was apparent that there was a need for even more capacity. Euronat was founded by Hubert Lacroix (1931–1995) in a pine forest away from the beach. This is reached on a boardwalk through protected dunes or by a roadway where there is parking near the beach. The whole area is naturist. Euronat opened in 1975. The Last Day Of Summer (book)
''The Last Day of Summer'' is a 1991 photography book by Jock Sturges. The book is Sturges' first and consists of 60 black-and-white images of both children and adults, many of which show nudity. Many photos were taken at nude beaches in France, including the image on the front cover, which is of a girl named Marine, who would later also appear on the cover of Sturges 2000 book, ''Jock Sturges: New Work 1996–2000''. Reception A. D. Coleman gave a favourable review of the book in ''The New York Observer'', stating: "Sturges sustains a delicate balance on a very precarious wire ... John Sturges (; born 1947), known as Jock Sturges, is an American photographer, best known for his images of nude adolescents and their families. Sturges pled guilty in 2021 at Franklin County (MA) Superior Court to an unnatural and lascivious act with a child under 16. Early life and education Sturges was born in 1947 in New York. From 1966 to 1970, he served in the United States Navy as a Russian linguist. He graduated with a BFA in Perceptual psychology and Photography from Marlboro College and received an MFA in photography from the San Francisco Art Institute. Career His subjects are nude adolescents and their families, primarily taken at communes in Northern California and at the Atlantic-coast naturist resort CHM Montalivet in Vendays-Montalivet.
