WWE Backlash
WWE Backlash is a professional wrestling event that is produced by the American company WWE, the world's largest professional wrestling promotion. It is broadcast live television, live and has been available through pay-per-view (PPV) since 1999 and via livestreaming since 2016. Since Backlash (1999), premiering in 1999, 20 events have been held, with its most recent Backlash (2025), 20th edition occurring at the Enterprise Center, Enterprise Arena in St. Louis, Missouri on May 10, 2025. With the exception of the events held from 2016 to 2020, the Gimmick (professional wrestling), concept of the show is based around the backlash of WWE's flagship event, WrestleMania. The inaugural Backlash in April 1999 was the company's first monthly PPV held after the discontinuation of the original In Your House shows, which were monthly PPVs held between the promotion's "Big Five" PPVs at the time: Royal Rumble, WrestleMania, King of the Ring, SummerSlam, and Survivor Series. Raw (WWE Brand)
WWE Raw, Raw is a WWE brand extension, brand of the American professional wrestling promotion WWE that was established on March 25, 2002. Brands are divisions of WWE's roster where wrestlers are assigned to perform on a weekly basis when a brand extension is in effect. Wrestlers assigned to Raw primarily appear on the brand's weekly television program, ''WWE Raw, Monday Night Raw'', which began in 1993, also referred to simply as ''Raw''. It is one of WWE's two main brands, along with SmackDown (WWE brand), SmackDown, which was made in 2002 after absorbing the WCW. They are collectively referred to as WWE's main roster. SummerSlam
SummerSlam is a professional wrestling event, produced annually since 1988 by the world's largest professional wrestling promotion, WWE. Dubbed "The Biggest Party of the Summer", it is considered WWE's second biggest event of the year behind their flagship event, WrestleMania. It is also considered one of the company's five biggest events of the year, along with WrestleMania, Royal Rumble, Survivor Series, and Money in the Bank, referred to as the "Big Five". The event has been broadcast on pay-per-view (PPV) since the inaugural 1988 event and via livestreaming since the 2014 event. The inaugural SummerSlam took place on August 29, 1988, at Madison Square Garden in New York City. The 2023 Backlash was a professional wrestling pay-per-view (PPV) and livestreaming event produced by the American company WWE. It was the 18th annual Backlash and took place Saturday, May 6, 2023, at the Coliseo de Puerto Rico José Miguel Agrelot in San Juan, Puerto Rico, held for wrestlers from the promotion's Raw and SmackDown brand divisions. This was the first WWE pay-per-view event held in Puerto Rico since New Year's Revolution in January 2005, and the second Backlash event held outside the continental United States following the 2004 event. The 2022 WrestleMania Backlash was a professional wrestling pay-per-view (PPV) and livestreaming event produced by WWE. It was the 17th annual Backlash and took place on Sunday, May 8, 2022, at the Dunkin' Donuts Center in Providence, Rhode Island, featuring wrestlers from the promotion's Raw and SmackDown brand divisions. This was the third Backlash held at this venue after the 1999 and 2009 events. WrestleMania 37 was a 2021 professional wrestling pay-per-view (PPV) and livestreaming event produced by WWE. It was the 37th annual WrestleMania and took place as a two-night event on Saturday, April 10, and Sunday, April 11, 2021, at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, Florida, held for wrestlers from the promotion's Raw and SmackDown brand divisions. Stomping Grounds was a professional wrestling pay-per-view (PPV) and livestreaming event produced by WWE. It was held for wrestlers from the promotion's Raw, SmackDown, and 205 Live brand divisions. The 2018 Backlash was a professional wrestling event produced by WWE. It was the 14th Backlash and took place on May 6, 2018, at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey.
