SC Waterloo Region
SC Waterloo Region was a Canadian soccer team based in Waterloo, Ontario. The club competed in various divisions in the Canadian Soccer League. The club was formed in 2011 under KW United FC and initially competed in the league's second division. The following year, the organization's name was changed to SC Waterloo Region, and it was promoted to the league's first division. While the first team played in the first division, Waterloo would at times operate a reserve squad in the second division. Within a short time, Waterloo enjoyed a string of successes within the league. Their biggest achievement came in the 2013 season after winning the CSL Championship. Their second appearance in the championship finals was in 2015, where they finished as runners-up. In 2016, Waterloo voluntarily relegated itself to the second division and secured the divisional title. RIM Park is a city park facility offering both outdoor and indoor amenities on the northeast side of the city of Waterloo, Ontario, Waterloo, Ontario, Canada, near the Eastbridge neighbourhood. Key facilities and features include the Manulife Financial Sportsplex and Healthy Living Centre, the heritage Elam Martin farmstead, The Benchwarmer sports bar, and the Grey Silo Golf Course. 2017 Canadian Soccer League Season
The 2017 Canadian Soccer League season (known as the Givova Canadian Soccer League for sponsorship reasons) was the 20th season under the Canadian Soccer League name. The season began on May 26, 2017, and concluded on September 30, 2017, with the CSL Championship final. The season saw the York Region Shooters claim their third CSL Championship by defeating Scarborough SC in a penalty shootout. In the Second Division, FC Ukraine United went home with their first CSL double after defeating Burlington SC in the finals. FC Ukraine became the second club in the Second Division after TFC Academy II in 2012 to go undefeated the entire regular season. York Region Shooters is a Canadian association football, soccer team, that plays in the Canadian Soccer League. The Shooters played their home games at the St. Joan of Arc Turf Field in the City of Vaughan, Ontario. The team's colours were blue and white, mirroring those of the Italy national football team, Italy national team and reflecting the cultural heritage of the club. Niagara United SC is a Canadian soccer team founded in 1973. The club is a former member of the Canadian Soccer League (CSL), where it fielded a professional team from 2011-2015, and now operates youth teams in the Niagara Soccer League and Hamilton Soccer League. Toronto Atomic FC was a Canadian soccer club that was founded in 2013. The club was based in Toronto, Ontario, and originally joined the Canadian Soccer League (CSL) as an expansion team in 2015. It fielded a senior and reserve team throughout its time in the league. Kiril Dimitrov (footballer)
Kiril Dimitrov (; born 21 January 1985) is a Bulgarian former footballer who is the general manager of Scarborough SC in the Canadian Soccer League. Playing career Dimitrov began his career in 2004 with Makedonska Slava and later played with PFC Pirin Blagoevgrad and FC Septemvri Simitli. In 2007, he played in the Bulgarian A Football Group with PFC Belasitsa Petrich. He played with the club for two seasons. Aleksandar Stojiljković ( sr-Cyrl, Александар Стојиљковић; born 24 May 1990) is a Serbian footballer who played as a midfielder. The Canadian Soccer League championship final, or CSL Championship, is the post-season match of the Canadian Soccer League (CSL) and is the successor to the CNSL Championship.
