Al-Riffa Sports Club () is a Bahraini professional football club based in Riffa, that competes in the Bahraini Premier League, the top flight of Bahraini football. History The club was founded in 1953 as West Riffa Sports Club. In 2001, the club changed its name to Al-Riffa Sports Club. Stadium Riffa use Bahrain National Stadium as their home ground, which has the capacity for nearly 24,000 spectators. Current squad First-team squad Achievements The club's first international achievement was in 1982 when Riffa placed second in the GCC Club Cup. This was an important achievement for the club and Bahraini football in general as it helped the region take notice of the talent available in Bahrain. Khalifa Sports City Stadium
Khalifa Sports City Stadium, also known as Isa Town Stadium, is a multi-use stadium in Isa Town, Bahrain. It is currently used mostly for association football. The stadium holds 15,000 people and was opened in 1968. It was last renovated in 2007. Facilities The stadium underwent a $24.4 million (9.2 million BHD) renovation in 2007 that incorporated natural grass on the main football pitch and constructing a new main stand that can carry 3,600 spectators. Another multipurpose sport hall was constructed with a capacity for 3,600 spectators. This hall can host handball, badminton, basketball and volleyball matches. An Olympic size swimming wall with a stand for 500 spectators was also built in addition to a 5-metre diving pool. The expansion was designed by Tilke and Partners. The AGCFF Gulf Club Champions League (), formerly known as the GCC Champions League, is a regional football competition governed by the Arab Gulf Cup Football Federation (AGCFF) for clubs from its eight member nations. The tournament was founded by the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) and was first organised in 1982. The last edition organised by the GCC was the 30th edition in 2015, which featured twelve teams, while its attempts to organise the 31st edition failed. The tournament was relaunched by the AGCFF for the 2024–25 season under the name AGCFF Gulf Club Champions League, featuring eight teams. Duhok are the current champions, having beaten Al-Qadisiya in the 2025 final.
