LASK
Linzer Athletik-Sport-Klub, commonly known as LASK (), or Linzer ASK, is an Austrian professional football club based in Upper-Austrian state capital Linz. It is the oldest football club in that region, and plays in the Austrian Football Bundesliga, the top tier of Austrian football. The club's colours are black and white. The women's team plays in the second highest division of Austrian women's football. It is one of the few clubs of the country's higher divisions that, since coming into existence, never exhibited a sponsor in the official club name. In 1965, the club became the first team outside Vienna to win the Austrian football championship, with this being its only league title to date. The club currently plays its home games at the Raiffeisen Arena in Linz. Oliver Glasner
Oliver Glasner (born 28 August 1974) is an Austrians, Austrian professional Manager (association football), football manager and former Football player, player who is the manager of Premier League club Crystal Palace F.C., Crystal Palace. A Defender (association football), defender by trade, he spent almost all of his professional career with Austrian Football Bundesliga, Austrian Bundesliga club SV Ried, winning the Austrian Cup in 1998 and 2011. Following his retirement, Glasner worked as an assistant manager at FC Red Bull Salzburg, Red Bull Salzburg before returning to Ried as manager in 2014. He then spent four seasons as manager of former club LASK, winning promotion to the Austrian top flight, and helping the club finish as runners-up in his final season. 1985–86 UEFA Cup
The 1985–86 UEFA Cup was the 15th season of the UEFA Cup, the third-tier club football competition organised by the Union of European Football Associations (UEFA). The final was played over two legs at the Santiago Bernabéu Stadium, Madrid, Spain, and at the Olympiastadion, West Berlin, West Germany. For the second year in a row, the competition was won by Real Madrid of Spain, who defeated Köln of West Germany by an aggregate result of 5–3. Markus Schopp
Markus Schopp (born 22 February 1974) is an Austrian football coach and a former midfielder. He is currently the head coach of Austrian Football Bundesliga club LASK Linz. Club career Schopp played for Sturm Graz and Red Bull Salzburg in his native Austria. With Sturm Graz, he won the Austrian Bundesliga in 1998–99. He also had stints with Hamburger SV in Germany and alongside Roberto Baggio and Pep Guardiola at Brescia in Italy. He retired from football in December 2007 due to chronic back problems after a loan spell with the New York Red Bulls of Major League Soccer. Raiffeisen Arena (Linz)
Raiffeisen Arena is a football stadium in Linz, the capital of the Provinces of Austria, state of Upper Austria. It opened in 2023 on the site of the Linzer Stadion, which was built in 1952 and demolished in 2021. The new stadium has a total of 19,080 seats (standing, seated and box seats), with 17,117 seats available for international matches. The cost of the stadium was 65 million euros. With the additional facilities (e.g. offices, training grounds or daytime restaurant), it would be 85 million euros. Due to the increased cost of construction materials, the exact cost will not be known until after completion. Right next to the stadium is the TipsArena Linz multipurpose arena with a six-lane, 200-meter synthetic track and a maximum seating capacity of 8,755.
