Football Club Roskilde is a Danish professional association football club based in Roskilde, Region Zealand. They will compete in the Danish 1st Division in the 2024–25 season following their promotion. They play at Roskilde Idrætspark (also known as 'The Eagles' Nest', after the eagle in the club's logo) which has a capacity of 6,000. History The club was founded in 2004 as a merger between Roskilde Boldklub 1906, Svogerslev Boldklub and Himmelev-Veddelev Boldklub. In the 2013–14 season, while playing in Division 2 (East), FC Roskilde set a new Danish league record for the number of consecutive league wins, with 20 wins in a row. The run began with a 2–0 home win against BSV on 22 September 2013 and ended with a 3–1 away win against Nordvest FC on 1 June 2014. The run was ended on 9 June 2014 by a 3–1 home defeat to Nykøbing FC. Matchfixing case After a 1–2 defeat to Lyngby Boldklub on 12 May 2019, Lønstrup accused his own players of match fixation. Aarhus Gymnastikforening (; commonly known as AGF ) is a professional sports club based in Aarhus, Jutland, Denmark. Founded in 1880, it is one of the oldest clubs in the country where gymnastics and fencing were featured as its main sports. However, AGF is mostly known for its football department, which was established in 1902. Currently, the club's first team plays in the Danish Superliga, the top flight of the Danish football league system. Hvidovre Idrætsforening, more commonly known as Hvidovre IF () is a Danish association football club from Hvidovre, Capital Region of Denmark. The club competes in the Danish 1st Division, the second tier of Danish football, and plays its home matches at the Hvidovre Stadion. Formed in 1925, the club has been crowned Danish champions three times, in 1966, 1973 and 1981, and have won the Danish Cup once, in 1980. Magnus Lysholm Carsten Petersen (born 18 January 2002) is a Danish footballer who plays as a right-back for Danish 1st Division club FC Roskilde, on loan from Hvidovre IF. Career Hvidovre IF Lysholm started her football career in F.C. Copenhagen, before moving to B.93 in 2015. He later moved to Hvidovre IF, where he was initially part of the club's academy. Lasse Emil Nielsen (; born 8 November 1993), simply known as Emil Nielsen, is a Danish professional footballer who plays as a forward for FC Roskilde. Career Growing up in Store Merløse, Nielsen started playing for local side, MUK before being signed to the youth academy of FC Roskilde.
