Golden Delicious
Golden Delicious is a cultivar of apple. It is one of the 15 most popular apple cultivars in the United States. It is not closely related to Red Delicious. History Golden Delicious arose from a chance seedling, possibly a hybrid of Grimes Golden and Golden Reinette. The original tree was found on the family farm of J. M. Mullins in Clay County, West Virginia, and was locally known as Mullins' Yellow Seedling. Mullins sold the tree and propagation rights to Stark Brothers Nurseries for $5000, which first marketed it as a companion of their Red Delicious in 1914. In 1943, the New York State Agricultural Experiment Station in Geneva, New York developed the Jonagold apple by cross-breeding Golden Delicious and Jonathan (apple), Jonathan trees. The cultivar was officially released in 1968 and went on to become the leading apple cultivar in Europe. Shampoo were a 1990s English pop-punk duo consisting of Jacqueline "Jacqui" Blake (born 23 November 1974 in Woolwich) and Caroline "Carrie" Askew (born 4 May 1976 in Plumstead). Their 1994 song " Trouble", from their debut album, '' We Are Shampoo'', reached 11 in the UK Singles Chart and was featured in 1995's '' Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: The Movie''. ''Parallelograms'' is an album by American psychedelic folk singer Linda Perhacs. It was produced by Leonard Rosenman. The album was largely ignored when originally released on Kapp Records in 1970. Discouraged by the lack of commercial attention and the label's reluctance to promote the album, Perhacs returned to her career as a dental hygienist. Reissues Folk label the Wild Places reissued ''Parallelograms'' on CD and double LP in 2003. James Gilmore Backus (February 25, 1913 – July 3, 1989) was an American actor.
