DeNA
is a Japanese provider of mobile portal and e-commerce websites headquartered in Shibuya, Tokyo. It owns the Mobage cell phone platform and also operates other services, including the e-commerce website DeNA Shopping (formerly: Bidders). History DeNA was founded in 1999 in Tokyo, Japan. The same year, it launched the online auction site Bidders. In 2004, it partnered with Index Corporation to launch the mobile auction site Mobaoku. A year later, the company listed on the Tokyo Stock Exchange. In 2006, DeNA established the subsidiary Mobakore and launched the mobile gaming site Mobage Town as well as the mobile shopping site AU Shopping Mall. In 2010, it acquired the American game developer ngmoco, and a year later, it consolidated the latter's Plus+ with Mobage Town, which became known as Mobage. Yokohama DeNA BayStars
The are a professional baseball team in the Japanese Central League. Their home field is Yokohama Stadium, located in central Yokohama. The team has been known by several names since becoming a professional team in 1950. It adopted its current name in 2011, when the club was purchased by software company DeNA. History Origin (1930s–1949) The team began as the Taiyo Fishing Company, an amateur team currently affiliated with the Maruha Corporation (presently Maruha Nichiro). Showroom (stylized in all caps) is a Japanese live streaming service used primarily for Japanese idols and voice actors. A development of DeNA, it has been integrated into the audition process for idol groups such as 22/7, Nogizaka46, and Keyakizaka46. App analytics company App Annie announced on September 13, 2017, that for the first half of 2017, in terms of revenue, Showroom is Japan's top-ranked video distribution application. Events The service is used for daily live-streams, which may be viewed for free. As of March 2018, there are no paid or subscription-based memberships. Ngmoco, LLC (stylized as ngmoco) was an American-based publisher of video games for the iOS and Android platforms, and a subsidiary of DeNA Co., Ltd. Mobage
is a portal and social network for games owned by the Japanese company DeNA. It derives its name from the Japanese slang word for mobile games. History In 2011, as part of a strategy to unify its services, DeNA rebranded Mobage Town as Mobage (sometimes called Mobage East) for use in Japan, while the Plus+ network operated by ngmoco, a subsidiary of DeNA, was also rebranded as Mobage (sometimes called Mobage West), for use in the West. is a Japanese video game development studio established in 2011 by CyberAgent. Mobile and e-commerce company DeNA acquired a 24% stake in the studio in 2012, and Nintendo acquired another 5% stake in 2018, leaving CyberAgent with 69% of the shares and as such, they are the parent company of Cygames. Tomoko Namba
is a Japanese entrepreneur, and the former CEO of DeNA. She is vice-chair of the Japan Business Federation. In 1999 she founded DeNA, one of Japan's largest mobile social network and mobile game companies. She transitioned from CEO to Executive Chairman of DeNA in 2011 to focus on her family and personal life. Plus+ was a social networking, game discovery and multiplayer platform launched by Ngmoco in June 2009. It was similar to Xbox Network, allowing users to interact with other players while playing.
