Pont Rouge Lois Jeans was a hockey team based in Pont Rouge, Quebec in Canada. The team was part of the Ligue Nord-Américaine de Hockey (LNAH). The team had been known by many names such as the Vanier Voyageurs, Quebec Ace, Beaupré Caron et Guay, Beaupré Aces and Quebec RadioX. After the 2007–08 season the team relocated again from Quebec City to its final location in Pont Rouge. While they were the RadioX they played at the Pavillon de la Jeunesse, having previously played at the Colisée Pepsi. The team was owned by Genex Communications, who also owns the CHOI-FM CHOI-FM is a French language, French-language FM broadcasting, FM radio station that broadcasts on the frequency 98.1 Hertz, MHz out of Quebec City, Quebec, Canada, with a talk radio, talk format. Pont Rouge
Pont-Rouge (, ) is a Canadian city along the Jacques-Cartier River in southern Quebec, Canada. In the Canada 2021 Census the population was 10,121 inhabitants. History The first efforts to colonise the area came around 1769. On April 15, 1867, the archbishop of Quebec, Charles-François Baillargeon, founded the parish of Sainte-Jeanne-de-Neuville from portions of Cap-Santé, Saint-Basile, and Neuville. After the separation of the parish in two in 1911 (the village of Pont-Rouge and the parish of Sainte-Jeanne-de-Pont-Rouge), the new City of Pont-Rouge was established when these two municipalities merged on January 3, 1996. Transportation had considerable influence on the development of the parish, mainly the two bridges and the construction of the Canadian Pacific Railway bridge in 1874. The Ligue Nord-Américaine de Hockey (LNAH, ''"North American Hockey League"'') is a semi-Professional sports league organization, professional ice hockey league based in the Canadian province of Quebec. Pavillon De La Jeunesse
The Pavillon Guy-Lafleur, formerly Pavillon de la Jeunesse, (1970-2024) is an indoor arena, in Quebec City, Quebec on the grounds of ExpoCité. It opened in 1931 as an amphitheatre to replace the Victoria Park Arena destroyed in 1943, it was referred to as Pavillon de l'agriculture (1931 to 1970) for use for agricultural displays for the provincial exhibition or Expo Quebec. Since the 1980s it has been used as a sports venue and has a capacity of 5,000 spectators. It was damaged in a fire in 1949 resulting in restoration work in 1949–1950. The current ice surface was added in 1969–1970.
