''Jornal Hoje'' is a news program aired by the Brazilian television broadcaster TV Globo. The program is broadcast in the early afternoon from Monday to Saturday as part of a news block that also includes ''Praça TV'' and ''Globo Esporte''. It is currently presented by Evaristo Costa, Alan Severiano and César Tralli. History The show premiered on 21 April 1971, almost two years after the premiere of ''Jornal Nacional'', and replaced ''Show da Cidade'' (''The City Show''). Initially it was only shown in the state of the Rio de Janeiro and was then presented by Léo Batista and Luiz Jatobá. The original idea was for a women's daily magazine, with reports on art, shows and interviews. On 3 June 1974, it began to be broadcast nationally. Evaristo Costa
Evaristo de Oliveira Costa Merigo, commonly known as Evaristo Costa (born September 30, 1976, in São José dos Campos) is a Brazilian journalist. He graduated in Social Communication at Universidade Braz Cubas in Mogi das Cruzes. Costa started working as a journalist in 1995, when he was still in college and worked in a TV producing studio during two years, then moving to TV Vanguarda, initially as a producer and then working as reporter and presenter. In September 1999, he was transferred to TV Globo, where he was a reporter for the TV show ''Mais Você'', hosted by Ana Maria Braga. In 2001, Costa moved to SPTV, a São Paulo local news program. Rodrigo Bocardi de Moura, best known as Rodrigo Bocardi (born January 4, 1976), is a Brazilian journalist and TV host. Biography and career Rodrigo graduated in journalism in 1997 from FIAM and began his career at Grupo Bandeirantes. He was later called by TV Globo to be economics editor for ''Jornal da Globo''. He soon became a reporter and left TV Globo to work, between 2003 and 2004, in Angola, on that country's public TV. He returned to Globo after this experience, becoming a correspondent in New York in 2009.
