Cédric Paty
Cédric Paty (born 25 July 1981 in Châtillon-sur-Seine, Côte-d'Or) is a French handball player, who won a gold medal at the 2008 Summer Olympics. Paty started playing handball because his father coached at the local handball club. In 2000 he joined the second tier team Cercle Dijon Bourgogne Handball, where he made his senior debut. After 2 years at Dijon he joined ES Besançon for a season, before he joined HBC Villefranche en Beaujolais. 2004/05 was his first season in the French top division. In 2005 he joined Chambéry Savoie Mont-Blanc Handball Chambéry Savoie Mont-Blanc Handball is a French handball team based in Chambéry in Savoie. Châtillon-sur-Seine () is a commune of the Côte-d'Or department, eastern France. The Musée du Pays Châtillonnais is housed in old abbey of Notre-Dame de Châtillon, within the town, known for its collection of pre-Roman and Roman relics (especially the famous Vix Grave). History Some ruins on an eminence above the town mark the site of a château of the dukes of Burgundy. Nearby stands the church of St Vorles of the 10th century, but with many additions of later date; it contains a sculptured Holy Sepulchre of the 16th century and a number of frescoes.
