Cyril Jordan
Cyril Jordan (born August 31, 1948 in San Francisco) is a guitarist and founding member of San Francisco cult band the Flamin' Groovies. Jordan founded the band in 1965, playing with them until they initially disbanded in 1992. His song "Shake Some Action", co-written with Chris Wilson, appeared in the 1995 movie ''Clueless''. After the death of George Harrison in 2001, Cyril performed a tribute with a band known as the New Moondogs at a special charity event at CD Land in Palo Alto, California. Cyril also backed up Gordon Waller (of Peter and Gordon) at the same venue a few months later. Jordan designed many of the earliest Flamin' Groovies handbills and has subsequently worked as an artist and illustrator. Flamin' Groovies is an American rock band that formed in San Francisco in 1965, originally co-led by Roy Loney and Cyril Jordan. Chris Wilson (born September 10, 1952) is an American guitarist and singer, most known for his role as the lead singer of the San Francisco band the Flamin' Groovies, having replaced original singer Roy Loney in 1971. Clueless (film)
''Clueless'' is a 1995 American coming-of-age teen comedy film written and directed by Amy Heckerling. It stars Alicia Silverstone, and was produced by Scott Rudin and Robert Lawrence. The film is a loose adaptation of Jane Austen's 1815 novel '' Emma''. The plot centers on a beautiful, popular, wealthy high school student who wants to do "good deeds." She befriends a newcomer and decides to give her a makeover while playing matchmaker for her teachers and examining her own existence. Gordon Trueman Riviere Waller (4 June 1945 – 17 July 2009) was a Scottish guitarist, singer and songwriter, best known as Gordon of the 1960s pop music duo Peter and Gordon, whose biggest hit was the no. 1 million-selling single "A World Without Love". Biography Waller was born in Braemar, Aberdeenshire, Scotland, the son of a prominent surgeon. The family moved to Middlesex when Waller was a child, where Waller gained entrance to Westminster School.
