Cyclo-cross Zonhoven
The Cyclo-cross Zonhoven is a cyclo-cross race in Zonhoven, Belgium. Established in 1958, it was held in December till 1966 after which the race ceased to exist. In 2005 the event was restarted, this time in October. In the 2009–2010 season it became part of the Cyclo-cross Superprestige, Superprestige and was then held in February. The next season, still as a part of the Superprestige, it was held in October again. Since then it has been held either at the end of October or the beginning of November. In 2018 it's held mid-December. Since the season 2021-2022 the race is part of the UCI World Cup. Winners Men Women Notes References

Zonhoven
Zonhoven (; ) is a municipality located in the middle of the Belgian province of Limburg located north of Hasselt and also borders Houthalen-Helechteren, Genk and Heusden-Zolder. It’s an urbanized municipality, in the edge area of Hasselt. The municipality belongs to the On January 1, 2019, Zonhoven had a total population of 21,237. The total area is 39.34 km2 which gives a population density of 506 inhabitants per km2. Archaeological findings from the period 11,000 BCE to 5,000 BCE, including the only fixed prehistoric polishing stone in Flanders, indicate early inhabitation of the territory. From the Middle Ages to the early modern period, Zonhoven and its neighboring villages belonged to the Land of Vogelsanck. Since the arrival of industry in the 19th and 20th centuries, the municipality has experienced a significant population increase: between 1930 and 1980, the population tripled. As a junior, he won the silver medal at the 2015 UCI Cyclo-cross World Championships. He won the gold medal in the men's under-23 event at the 2016 UCI Cyclo-cross World Championships in Heusden-Zolder and took another gold in the under-23 race at the 2017 UEC European Cyclo-cross Championships in Tábor. The 2013–2014 Cyclo-cross Superprestige events and season-long competition took place between 27 October 2013 and 15 February 2014. Sven Nys won his 13th Superprestige, overtaking Niels Albert in the final race of the season. This was the first season after Niels Albert gave a press-conference that he had to stop competitive cycling because of a heart condition. Meanwhile, Sven Nys was going this season for his 14th title in the Cyclo-cross Superprestige.
