''Cyclemys'' is a genus of freshwater turtles, commonly referred to as Asian leaf turtles, from the family Geoemydidae. The genus occurs throughout Southeast Asia, Southeast and South Asia, and currently contains seven species. Asian leaf turtles average in length. They are mostly brown to greenish in color, with round to rectangular shells. Their carapaces bear a superficial resemblance to Leaf, plant leaves, hence their common name. Mainland Southeast Asia (historically known as Indochina and the Indochinese Peninsula) is the continental portion of Southeast Asia. The Turtle Taxonomy Working Group (TTWG) is an informal working group of the IUCN/SSC Tortoise and Freshwater Turtle Specialist Group (TFTSG).
