William Paca
William Paca ( or ; October 31, 1740 – October 13, 1799) was a Founding Father of the United States who was a signatory to the Continental Association and the United States Declaration of Independence. He was a Maryland delegate to the First Continental Congress and the Second Continental Congress, governor of Maryland, and a district judge of the United States District Court for the District of Maryland. Francisca "Paca" Blanco Díaz (born 13 February 1949) is a Spanish feminist, environmentalist, anti-fascist, anti-nuclear, anti-capitalist and pensioner. She was one of the founders of Ecologists in Action and is part of the Plataforma de Afectados por la Hipoteca, amongst others. Biography Francisca Blanco Díaz was born in Madrid on 13 February 1949. Her father was a Republican political prisoner who was in a concentration camp almost until he died. When he died, she was 16. She graduated from school when she was already the mother of 5 children. Francisca Raquel Navas Gardela, better known as Paca Navas (1883–1971), was a Honduran journalist, writer and feminist. She founded the first feminist journal in Honduras and was a member of the first suffragette organization. She and her husband spent most of their lives in exile because of their liberal leanings. Her most productive writing period was during her Guatemalan exile from 1945 to 1951. Paca Thomas is the owner of pacaworks.com, a multi-media production company. He can also be heard weekly as Bernie Taupin's sidekick/producer on Bernie Taupin's American Roots Radio on SiriusXM's The Loft. He is the son of Philadelphia DJ George Thomas. Pača () is a village and municipality in the Rožňava District in the Košice Region of middle-eastern Slovakia. History In historical records the village was first mentioned in 1338. Before the establishment of independent Czechoslovakia in 1918, Pača was part of Gömör and Kishont County within the Kingdom of Hungary. Lake Paca ( Spanish: ''Laguna de Paca'') is a lake in Peru. It is located north of the historic town of Jauja, which was once the first capital of Peru. The lake is habitat for a variety of flora and fauna. The lake is fed from springs. Geography Lake Paca is one of the three lakes in the Mantaro River Valley in the central highlands of Peru formed by high Cordillera ranges, which has three tributary valleys known as the Masma, the Paca and the Yanamarca. Laguna Paca is the only lake in the Paca valley which has water throughout the year. However, floating mats of rushes and sedges cover the south side of the lake. The lake itself does not drain out, as like the other lakes in the valleys, has been “filled up by interglacial fill, and alluvial and eolian sedimentation.” The river that originates in this valley, is called the Mantaro River.
